Did Cortez Bryant have something to say about Nicki Minaj not being nominated for a Grammy? Nicki Minaj has been able to accomplish a lot during her time as a mainstream artist. Aside from her musical success, Nicki has her own perfume out now and has a lipstick by MAC on its way. And prior to that, she landed a gig as a judge on American Idol, a gig that has had its share of drama attached to it. Nicki has found herself locked into some noted industry beefs, one of her most talked about ones being with co-panelist Mariah Carey, Nicki dragging Mariah numerous times over the feud. And Nicki even has admitted that her standing up for herself has gotten her trouble some times before. Despite the beefs that she has had with other musical celebrities and radio stations, Nicki still continues to hold on to a very sizeable fan base. But even with all the Barbz and Kens out there that support her, Nicki’s re-released album hasn’t performed as well as she would have liked it to, some key stores not willing to sell the album. And now she is facing some more not so good news concerning her music.
Throughout her career thus far, the Young Money rapstress has managed to get a number of Grammy nominations during a short amount of time. However this time around, Nicki was not as fortunate as she has no nominations at all for the next Grammy Awards show. Many feel like Nicki got snubbed for not making the nomination list, one of those individuals being her manager Cortez Bryant. In the midst of sending a shout out to Lil’ Wayne and Drake on their nominations, Bryant also made it a point to speak his mind on Nicki not being nominating, calling it complete BS (read from the bottom up):
She didn’t deserve a nomination and people are tired of her. Hell, I’m still shocked Drake is still relevant. That whole camp is terrible.

She was snubbed and should have been nominated. She had some big hits this year, especially Starships. Don’t let your hate for Nicki take away your common sense people!
If they aren’t nominating Starships as a pop hit then it doesn’t deserve a nomination…and do you really think that song competes with the songs pop artists are putting out? Nikki needs to return to the hip hop talent and lyricism that made her famous if she wants recognition for her music.

LOL they are so entitled. I guess they were so used to everyone accepting their garbage albums and praising them for the trash they put out that they thought they could keep pulling it off. Nah. Tell Nicki to get her fake a– back in the studio and record a NEW ALBUM. Not another crapped out redo of Pink Friday. She has like 5 Pink Friday albums already. She needs to stop being lazy and make a new album and stop with all this corniness. Gimmicks only work for 2 albums. Ask Lady Gaga.
