It’s always been rumored that Shaquille O’Neal’s alleged infidelity and desire to keep mistresses on the side caused the demise to his marriage to Shaunie O’Neal. Although the divorce between the two left Shaunie a very wealthy woman, it’s clear that the retired NBA star hasn’t been able to move on completely from his former life and mistresses considering that one in particular has been battling him in court. As we reported recently, Shaq’s former mistress Vanessa Lopez filed a lawsuit against him, and claimed he hired his sister to threaten and assault her. Vanessa is suing for punitive damages, intentional infliction of emotional distress, racketeering, and invasion of privacy.
It appears things have gotten even nastier between Shaq and Vanessa because now reports claim the basketball legend obtained a protective order against his former mistress on March 20.
Radar Online reports:
According to a court document obtained exclusively by Radar — an Order On Defendant’s Emergency Motion For Protective Order Or In The Alternative Temporary Injunction — the judge ruled “Defendant’s motion for protective order is hereby GRANTED.
“The parties are prohibited from disclosing the deposition transcripts in this matter, until further hearing and order of this court.”
Someone in Vanessa’s camp claims Shaq is hoping to hide some major dirt from the public and that Vanessa’s deposition is so “explosive” that it will tarnish his reputation terribly. The legal battle between Vanessa and Shaq has been going on since 2010. Vanessa claims Shaq started to harass her allegedly when he thought she was pregnant and then later accused her of sleeping with another man.
This is karma. Shaq was such a tramp when he was married.
