Actress Zoe Saldana’s career has really taken off and the Latina has been fortunate enough to star in several blockbuster films such as “Avatar” and the “Star Trek” series in a time when actresses of color struggle to secure work. Although she’s keeping busy and the roles just keep coming, she recently came under fire when it was confirmed that she would be playing Nina Simone in an upcoming biopic. Critics weren’t happy with her new role as Nina because they felt she wasn’t dark enough nor were her features quite right for the part, but Zoe didn’t let the criticism scare her away from the role, even though Nina’s own daughter protested against her taking the role too. Zoe admitted recently that the criticism does hurt her feelings regardless of her going forward with the film.
Zoe may not be having the best luck convincing people she has the acting chops or physical appearance to play Nina Simone but life just got better for the actress. There have been rumors for the last few days suggesting she secretly tied the knot with her beau Marco Perego. Rumors escalated when the couple was spotted sporting wedding bands. But now a source tells US Magazine that the couple did indeed tie the knot in London in the month of June and Zoe is elated to be married to the Italian artist. Although she’s only been publicly spotted with Marco since May, the source says the couple has actually known each other for a “long time.”
Zoe was recently romantically linked to “The Hangover” actor Bradley Cooper and despite being on and off for two years, the former couple called it quits for good in 2013.
Congrats to Zoe and Marco.

I hope she at least gave herself enough time to get over Bradley. If not, she’s not being fair to her husband. They just broke up and now she’s married. Crazy.

Celebrities do not take marriage seriously. If they did, they wouldn’t get married so fast. I think she’s doing this to make Bradley jealous because they are working on a movie together as we speak.
