Another day, another athlete gets accused for doing something incredibly foul. NBA players seem to get themselves involved in some terrible situations off of the basketball court, and the latest player to get tied to a violent incident is Oklahoma City Thunder player Kendrick Perkins. According to reports, Kendrick has been accused of getting violent on a woman and her brother after they were all involved in a minor car accident.

KHOH.com Houston says a woman is claiming that Kendrick allegedly punched her and her brother outside of a club in Houston and Miketta Cotton says things got ugly for her and her brother after their car and another car “backed into each other.” Cotton says she got out of the vehicle to speak with the male driver and that’s when a woman jumped outside of the vehicle and appeared to begin preparing to fight by putting her hair in a ponytail and removing her earrings. Cotton says she was able to calm the woman down but Kendrick’s brother-in-law Quincy Alpough jumped out of the car and screamed, “That’s my cousin!”

Miketta Cotton’s brother Ja’Keenan Cotton then hopped out the car because he witnessed Miketta being pushed by Alpough, and that’s eventually when NBA player Kendrick Perkins allegedly jumped out of the car and punched him in the head, causing Ja’Keenan to fall to the ground.

In the documents filed, Miketta claims that after her brother was knocked to the ground by Perkins, the professional athlete then walked up to her and punched her in the face, causing her to fall down to the ground as well.

The other passenger in the car with the Cottons, Catherine McGrue, claims she was also attacked by Kendrick’s brother-in-law and she blacked out after he struck her in the throat with his elbow.

All three of the victims claim they were all kicked repeatedly by their alleged group of attackers while they laid on the ground suffering from their injuries.

At least one witness backed up the victims’ stories, and Kendrick posted $1000 bail on Thursday morning on a misdemeanor assault charge.

  1. Huh? What made them go off like that? It wasn’t even that serious of an accident I bet. People have lost their minds.

  2. She really got out the car and took her earrings off and put her hair up like a hood rat? And these are the people Kendrick is hanging around? Fail.

  3. I’m sure a lawsuit will be filed soon. Kendrick should know better than this. He’s in the NBA and this is not a good look for him. It was a dumb reason to fight anyway. And what if someone in the other car had a gun? They would have used it and this could have been so much worse.
