A few years ago it was obvious Drake and Nicki Minaj were very close, but as of late it just appears that the Young Money Records stars have grown apart. Drake even recently admitted on his latest album “Nothing Was the Same” that they did fall out, but he did confirm while promoting the album that the beef had been resolved. However, Nicki’s latest comments about her label mate have many people thinking they may not have buried the beef after all.

In a recent interview with DJ Whoo Kid, the female rapper made it clear she wasn’t happy Drake’s latest album wasn’t full of YMCMB features. When asked by DJ Whoo Kid if she would take the same route with her upcoming album (which she is working on right now), she says:

“No, I’m Young Money til the death of me. Drake can do what Drake do but Nicki Minaj is a whole different person. I think your team is your team. Who gives a f*ck about trying to be different? I’m always going to want my team to be a part of my project, no matter what, in some way.”

To be fair, Drake did have an up and coming artist from Young Money on his album. Detail was featured on Drake’s track “305 to My City.” But we’re assuming what DJ Whoo and others really meant is whether or not Nicki will also leave off mentor Lil Wayne, Birdman and popular artist Tyga on her next album.

Drake hasn’t responded to Nicki’s comments as of yet. Check out the interview below:

  1. This bish needs to have several seats. Unlike her, Drake actually wants to put out a decent album and he knows he can’t do that with a whole bunch of YMCMB features. They are such clowns and he’s better than that. Ugh.

    1. SMH. And this is why I don’t see why women aren’t smart enough to see there’s really no power in always taking off their clothes.

  2. Wow. So now people are salty Drake didn’t have a whole bunch of YMCMB tracks? No wonder he wants to leave Young Money. It’s too much damn drama.

  3. Petty as hell. He made Young Money all that money, so he has every right to do an album without them. Either way they still get paid so what’s the problem?

  4. What the f-ck is Nicki wearing in that video?! Is this what’s hot in the streets now? Nicki is becoming the black Kim K and that is NOT a compliment.

  5. I don’t see why she even said this. It’s really not that serious. He doesn’t have to have them all on every album he makes. And I think the lack of YMCMB actually made the album better. Most of them can’t rap anyway.

  6. Everyone is loyal to YMCMB until they realize they were cheated out a lot of money. We’ll see how much Nicki loves them in a few years when she finally sees the numbers aren’t adding up.

  7. I honestly think Drake doesn’t even want to be signed to them anymore. And they know it too and he’s been on bad terms with them because they know it. But considering how petty this is, I can see why he wants out. This was uncalled for.

  8. Nicki is sounding like Lil Wayne right here. Way too sensitive. I don’t see why they are mad he didn’t have them on all of his songs. He has a right to do something different.

  9. Hey Nicki, he didn’t want you or any of the rest of you marginally talented YMCMB “rappers” on his album because he realized it cheapens his music. Get over it.

  10. I wouldn’t put them on my album either! Even Lil Wayne sucks now and doesn’t even try to put a decent verse together.

  11. It sounds like Nicki is low key jealous and hating on Drake because he’s about 10,000 albums sold from already being platinum. She can’t pull in those kinds of numbers that quickly. And she’s finished when her young fans grow up and stop worshiping her because grown women don’t like Nicki like that.

  12. LOL at Nicki hating!!!! Girl get your life!!!! You could pull Drake’s numbers if you stopped making crappy music!!!
