In a recent interview with Big Boy, when asked how it feels to have a new love after Nelly, Ashanti claims their on and off relationship paved the way for the current man in her life.
When asked how she feels about her current situation, she says:
“I feel good. I feel like I learned a lot about myself. I think it’s good because you have to kind of go through certain experiences. That other situation was long. I was young.
“I feel like I’ve learned a lot. The things you learn about yourself…good, bad or indifferent…you take the positive stuff to the next situation.”

So true. I had one back in college. I just knew we were going to get married but then I woke up one day and realized I was settling. Thank God I came to my senses when I did.
I’m glad she stopped dealing with Nelly. Ain’t nobody got time to deal with a man who ain’t trying to get married until he’s damn near 60 years old. Ugh.

Ashanti is so pretty I’m so glad she moved on from Nelly she wasted so many years on him. She deserves so much better and I hope she is finally getting that.

Dockett is one fine species of a man but I don’t know why I get player vibes from him just like Nelly. I could be wrong though.. He announced on Twitter that he had eyes for her.. I guess that’s how they ended up together..
