Memphitz Arrested for Drug Possession?

Mickey “Memphitz” Wright, ex-husband of Toya Wright, was allegedly arrested and charged this week with four counts of drug possession. Sources detail Memphitz being booked in a Texas jail the morning of March 14th with bond set at a total of $54,000.

The charges detail as the following:

Charge 1: Possession of a controlled substance, penalty group 1, under 1 gram
Bond: $50,000.00

Charge 2: Possession of a controlled substance, penalty group 3, under 28 grams
Bond: $1,500

Charge 3: Possession of a dangerous drug
Bond: $1,500

Charge 4: Possession of marijuana, under 2 ounces
Bond: $1,500

According to Starcasm, each charge has its own minimum sentence and fine. Therefore, Memphitz could be looking at a substantial fine to pay out in addition to at least a few months in prison. It’s not out the realm of possibility Memphitz could be looking at least a year of prison time for the drug charges.

Memphitz previously lost a defamation court case against Mona Scott Young and VH1 for his portrayal on the show “Love and Hip Hop Atlanta.”
