RHOP Recap: Ashley Clashes with Candiace & Monique + Karen Leaves the Stage in Tears

Karen is still mourning her father who just passed away from Alzheimer’s. Her mother also passed away several months ago.

Andy asks about how Karen feels about the last few episodes and she says she’s disappointed. She’s tired of the women asking her about where she really lives.

They discuss Ashley imitating Karen during the France trip in her wig. Karen says she needed the good laugh she got from it.

Candiace says she’s really a big deal and people notice her when she’s out and about because she won Miss United States.

Things get serious, and Andy brings up Ashley’s accusations of Monique having a drinking problem.

Monique said she got a lot of backlash online and someone even wrote that her drinking caused her miscarriage. That was really hurtful to her.

Ashley says she doesn’t think her recalling the number of drinks Monique had is the only reason people questioned her drinking. They start arguing because Ashley feels Monique is the one who brought attention to her drinking.

Andy the interjects and says he thinks Ashley is being hypocritical because she’s always drinking a beer.

But Ashley reminds Andy that she wasn’t the one who crashed her car.

Things get intense after Monique claims Ashley lied about sitting in her car for 30 minutes before driving home after they had drinks.

Apparently Ashley said she did this when she was on Watch What Happens Live.

Gizelle says that it doesn’t matter how many drinks Monique had because she immediately went into defense mode.

Andy says Monique is being really defensive and she says she would never destroy any of the other ladies’ character the way they did hers.

Robyn says that she doesn’t understand why Monique got upset with her and Gizelle because Robyn herself told Monique what Ashley said out of genuine concern.

So Monique apologizes.

Karen says she thinks Ashley is wrong and she believes Monique. They start arguing after Karen says she will never drink with Ashley’s “raggedy a*s.”

They discuss Monique’s love of essential oils. She says she will take her kid to her doctor if she needs to but she prefers to use essential oils.

Gizelle and Monique then discuss why they can’t be cool.

Monique feels like Gizelle didn’t like her from the beginning.

Karen says that there is nothing Monique can do for Gizelle to like her. Andy points out that Gizelle opened up to her when they discussed Chris being mad on Monique’s birthday.

Monique then says that she knows that Gizelle gives great advice when she’s in a good space. She believes that she and Gizelle could be friends one day. Gizelle says that she thinks so too, if Monique ever owns up to what she does and apologizes.

Candiace and Ashley clash.

She explains that she was upset that Chris said not to let the show get to her head because she “ain’t sh*t.” She admits that she and Chris are brutally honest with each other.

Andy asks her why she brings up race a lot, Ashley agrees, and Candiace says she does it all in jest.

They start arguing over pageant titles.

Ashley says that the pageant Candiace won, Miss United States, isn’t even popular so her title doesn’t really matter.

When asked by a viewer if her mother pays the mortgage, Ashley says Candiace is a “house daughter.” Candiace says Ashley is a “house trollop.”

Andy asks how much of the restaurant Chris actually owns, and Candiace refuses to answer. Ashley then says that it’s standard for chefs to own a small percentage of the restaurant they work for.

Wedding invitations are discussed. Gizelle is the only one who was not invited.

Ashley says she was invited and Candaice says that although they bicker, she still sees the good in Ashley.

Candiace says Gizelle wasn’t invited because she didn’t want to come.

“I don’t want to invite anyone where they don’t want to be.” – Candiace

Robyn says that she and Juan are doing well and spending lots of time with their family.

With money problems being behind them, they realize they want to be together and not just for the kids.

Karen explains why she took back her RSVP to Robyn’s event. She still says she was willing to go to both.

But Gizelle and Robyn remind Karen that she did say that she regretted RSVP’ing to Robyn’s event first. Robyn feels like Karen is still not being honest.

They discuss Robyn being offended by a meme posted to her fan page ran by her brother. She thinks it was shady of Monique to say that Gizelle thinks she is superior to Robyn.

Monique then says that Gizelle controls Robyn. Robyn disagrees and Monique says Robyn should be in Gizelle’s lap.

Robyn says that Monique’s brother does her dirty work by shading people on the fan page he runs.

“That page is a representation of you.” – Robyn

Andy agrees and says that if it was his relative running his fan page, he would check them about what they post.

Monique then says she will be more mindful of that in the future and make sure Robyn doesn’t feel disrespected by the posts.

Karen says that Ray is still paying off his tax debt.

Ashley and Karen then start arguing over the fact that Karen brought up the rumor about Michael possibly having an affair with another man. She says that the man pictured was not Michael.

When Karen says she believes it was, Ashley then says that she’s always been transparent on the show, and she’d admit it was Michael if it was.

They discuss the tax story being discussed in the media.

Gizelle says she was only being a jokester with the t shirt.

Karen says she wasn’t trying to focus on talking about Ray’s tax issues because she was focused on two sick parents. She also feels like Gizelle wasn’t genuinely concerned about things because she’s been too focused on her friendship with Robyn.

She also feels like Gizelle was just trying to be messy. Gizelle says she does care about Karen. She says that Ashley, Robyn and Gizelle don’t care about her parents and then she walks off the set in tears.

Backstage, Karen is crying, so Gizelle goes back to console her.

“It’s too soon. I can’t do it.” – Karen

“You did better than I thought. You’re strong. You’re one of the strongest women I know.” – Gizelle

“I’m tired of being strong.” – Karen
