Martell’s in his mom’s yard cutting trees and his mom Marlene treats him to some tea and a listening ear. He brings up what came up during his latest therapy session with Dr. Francis and Melody. Meanwhile, Melody’s sporting a new hairstyle for a photoshoot. While in the makeup chair, Melody vents to her MUA about the therapy session.

While Martell’s talking to Marlene, he brings up wanting to see his dad again. Martell says his dad’s been jealous of what he’s been doing for Marlene instead of him and that drove a wedge between the two.

Wanda confronts Marsau.

Marsau reluctantly took his mom-in-law Wanda out to eat as LaTisha is out of town. Marsau hopes this talk with Wanda goes well. Despite being in a public place, Wanda still gets Marsau together. Wanda tells Marsau to step up and “be a daddy.” However, Marsau says he works his fingers to the bone and chokes a bit when Wanda brings up the rumors of him cheating on LaTisha.

She asks if he’s cheating on LaTisha and Marsau stands behind his truth. Wanda seems okay with this for now.

Kimmi and Maurice are hanging with Monster and they’re going out to eat. Things get touchy between the couple just a bit when Maurice didn’t call Jaylin about what he wants for dinner. Of course, Kimmi brings up how Kiwua wronged her and demands an apology. But Maurice feels some type of way when Kimmi expresses that he doesn’t defend her to Kiwua. In fact, she wants an apology from her.

Martell bonds with his father.

Today’s the big day for Martell as he picks up his father for a fishing trip. The trip gets emotional between the two as they attempt to iron things out. Martell opens up and vents to him about him not being around due to his dad’s prison stint. His dad explains to Martell he was locked up for selling weed. His dad respects how Martell became his own man, not following in his footsteps of trouble.

Kimmi’s fundraising event is happening and the rest of the Comeback Group didn’t show up yet. LaTisha’s still out of town and Kimmi isn’t sure if the Holts will show up. But Kimmi’s not too worried because she’s looking forward to collecting as many toiletries as she can for her charities. Meanwhile, Maurice runs into Kimmi’s sister to asks about where’s Kimmi’s animosity is coming from. She tells Maurice it seems like he isn’t defending Kimmi to Kiwua. Maurice explains he has Kimmi’s back and her sister seems to be okay with this.

Eventually, the Holts showed up with their kids. Maurice has them all wearing her “Mbrace Cosmetics” band shirts.
Martell explains to Maurice and Marsau that he finally cut off his secondary phone number. Meanwhile, Melody’s focused on getting herself out of the Comeback Group.

Martell and Melody argue over the Comeback Group.

The Holts call a meeting for the Comeback Group to see if they’ll even be a part of it. Maurice is still hopeful the Holts will get back on the same page and want to stay. Everyone is distracted by Melody’s hair at first. Despite this, the meeting gets underway. Things get back on track and Marsau and Maurice feel like the group should stay together. Kimmi feels lines should be drawn between business and personal. Before the vote, the Holts go to talk amongst themselves. Martell doesn’t want to leave yet, however, Melody’s adamant about leaving and this irritates her.

When they return to the meeting, they decide to stay with the group. Well, Martell says they’re going to stay. However, Melody doesn’t want to be a part of it. This leads to an argument between the Holts in front of everyone as Melody asks to be bought out of the group. Eventually, the Scotts leave and the Holts continue their back and forth.

Melody’s furrows that Martell isn’t standing behind her and Martell is frustrated Melody isn’t behind him or standing in this marriage with him.

The episode ends with the Holts appearing to fall apart in their marriage.
