Melody isn’t close to her father.

Melody Holt opened up a lot about her childhood on the latest episode of “Love & Marriage: Huntsville.” While talking to Martell’s therapist, she broke down in tears while discussing her strained relationship with her father. She didn’t start spending time with him until she was 16 years old. And this was due to her mother pushing for her to do so.

While talking to the therapist, Melody said, “I didn’t really start spending time with him until I was 16. And of course, even then, it wasn’t a lot of time. It’s not like we were living in the same household. But that’s when I still first started spending time with him.”

She added, “My mom, she used to make me call him when I was a kid. You know, and I kind of got tired of calling because I was like, ‘He ain’t gonna answer no way. What I’m calling for?'”

When she was asked what it felt like when he didn’t pick up the phone, Melody then began to shed some tears.

Ms. Vanessa claps back.

After the episode aired, some people began to accuse Melody’s mother Ms. Vanessa of being the side chick.

So she hopped on Instagram and wrote, “People will make up what they don’t know and will continue to lie about you because you will not give them access. Save that energy for real side chicks. Sorry to disappoint you but I’m not a member of that club. #smh #keepreaching #missmewiththat #gossip #checkyourcloset #wegoodoverhere #lamh”

In another post, she reposted a comment from Melody’s brother and wrote, “No one wants to spread the truth. This post got very little attention. You hating hens can keep clucking. No side chick here! #tookcareofmine #checkyours #busybodies #mustbesidechicks #heartcheck #lamh”
