Iyanla Vanzant has received criticism for her tactics.
Iyanla Vanzant has been a controversial figure since the debut of “Iyanla: Fix My Life.” The purpose of the show is for Iyanla to help people get to the root of their issues, and identify past traumas that are preventing them from moving forward. Oftentimes, this requires Iyanla to make people uncomfortable. And while this process may have worked out for some, others have had complaints. In fact, some of these people have been vocal with their criticism.
Weeks ago, “Love And Hip Hop Miami” star Shay Johnson made her issues with Iyanla known. She came on the show with her two brothers to work things out with their mother. However, Shay snapped once her brothers revealed they have issues with her, too.
Iyanla asked Shay to just receive what her brothers had to say first, and she would be able to respond another day. However, Shay wasn’t having it. And after her brothers said she can be very disrespectful, Shay clapped back. Iyanla called her out for not following instructions and it led to an argument.
LisaRaye McCoy feels differently.
In the end, Iyanla told Shay she didn’t understand the process. And in response, Shay said, “F*ck your process!” At this point, Iyanla decided that she didn’t want to keep talking to Shay.
After Shay called Iyanla out on social media, Neffeteria Pugh joined her. And she also said her time with Iyanla wasn’t the best.
Interestingly enough, LisaRaye McCoy only had good things to say after her appearance on “Iyanla: Fix My Life.” And she felt the need to defend Iyanla.
