Kandi Burrus’ charity event became controversial on social media.
There was a lot of speculation among “Real Housewives of Atlanta” fans after Kandi Burruss‘ recent “Speak On It” video. Both she and Don Juan discussed her charity event. Several years ago, Kandi created Kandi Cares. And the organization is focused on helping single-parent families. This is something that is important to Kandi since she was also a single mother. Kenya Moore and others came to the event to help pass out groceries to single-parent families. However, some of the women donated money as well. In fact, Porsha Williams and Marlo Hampton both donated $5000.
In a green screen interview, Kandi said that she thought some of the women would be more generous. But she was grateful that Marlo and Porsha gave as much as they did.
In her “Speak On It” video, Don Juan insinuated that some people didn’t give at all. And his reference to people being able to buy ice sculptures but not donate to Kandi Cares made some fans suspect he was coming for Kenya. Then Kandi would later say that some of the ladies weren’t “necessarily giving.”
So some people came to the conclusion that Kenya didn’t donate any money.
Kenya Moore set the record straight.
Kenya remained unfazed by the comments on social media. And now it’s clear why she was unbothered.
During her appearance on “Watch What Happens Live, ” a viewer wrote in and asked why she didn’t donate to Kandi Cares. In response to this, Kenya said, “Oh, well I did. And I gave more than $5000. So I don’t know why people assumed that Kandi was speaking about me.”

Don Juan was definitely insinuating that it was Kenya who didn’t donate, which is why he said people can buy ice sculptures but not write a check to charity. So the question is who’s telling the truth? Kenya or Don Juan? I believe Kenya.

This is so confusing. Kenya is the one who got the ice sculpture for Cynthia’s surprise engagement party. So why wouldn’t it be Kenya who Don was talking about? Also, I have no problem with Kenya bringing her daughter on trips. Just extend the same invitation to all the others. And if a private jet was best in the end, why didn’t Kenya just use Falynn’s jet like Porsha suggested for everyone? It seems like Kenya goes out of her way to cause drama.

You need to have some common sense. Falynn is a friend of the show. Porsha SUGGESTED that Kenya ASK Falynn if they could all ride her private jet to SC seeing as Falynn was filming the show with them and Kenya has been advocating for her to get a peach. Stop acting like you lack reasoning skills.

It’s easy to understand why people assumed it was Kenya because of the ice sculpture comment. But Kandi and Don Juan should have just named names instead of causing people to assume so much. They were messy for no reason. Be direct or say nothing at all.

It’s clear she made the donation after the other ladies did. We all know Ms Messy Miserable Moore did not make her donation before the show aired because we would have ALL heard about it in one of her ( look at me I’m better than them moments).
