Rumors about Candiace Dillard’s future on RHOP continue to spread.
Candiace Dillard is no stranger to controversial moments. In fact, she’s had her share on “Real Housewives of Potomac” since her first season. Candiace’s strategy as a housewife is to be peaceful until someone comes for her. Once they do, the gloves come off. And she will hurt feelings with her words. Although Candiace feels like she’s just playing the real housewives game like she’s supposed to, others disagree. In fact, they have accused Candiace of taking things way too far.
For Candiace, it just seems as if she’s treated unfairly. In her opinion, most of the other housewives have all said terrible things in the middle of their feuds. And they are all paid to read and shade each other in group settings. She feels she receives more criticism than others because she’s dark-skinned. And this may have led to fans calling for her to be fired on social media.
Recently, a blind item about a “problematic” East Coast housewife being fired went viral. Many RHOP fans began to suspect that it was Candiace who was let go. Candiace addressed the rumor on Twitter. And her response made her loyal fans think that she’s returning for the upcoming season. However, hours ago, she penned a tweet that gave life to the speculation.
In the tweet, she wrote, “Well. When one door closes, another will open.”
The tweet caused a stir on the social media platform. And while Candiace never clarified what she was referring to, she liked tweets celebrating her supposed firing as well as tweets that said she could be referring to something that has nothing to do with RHOP.
As far as the upcoming season, it’s been rumored that the cast will begin filming sometime this month.
UPDATE: Candiace has not been fired. Entertainment Tonight’s Brice Sander cleared things up on Twitter.
I won’t watch the show if she gets fired whereas Monique Samuels was given the chance to leave the show and her behavior was way worse than Candiance’s ever has been. Although I absolutely don’t condone the way she treated Mia or the horrible comments she continuously made about her mother I don’t feel as if it’s fair if she was fired. Plus the show would be boring without her who wants to see Karen and Gizelle’s frenemy relationship or Wendy becoming a thot.
I don’t want Candiace off the show. She contributes more than most want to admit. Here’s to hoping the rumors aren’t true.
I live in the DMV and she could be fired. I know that many of the businesses here don’t want Bravo filming in their establishments anymore because they’re almost always loud. That’s why they have to go further out if they’re going to a restaurant. According to a gaffer for the production company Candice is becoming more difficult to control and they don’t want to end up like RHODC, i.e. not being allowed anywhere. DC is very closed off. We don’t like airing mess. That’s why DC only got one season.
For some reason I don’t think she was fired. She has done nothing worse than anyone else. I don’t like her and won’t miss her but I don’t think she should have been fired
I hope this is true and she’s fired, I think she’s a horrible person her spirit is wicked and she doesn’t even rate being on that show, her attention starved mama financed her way on the show. #forclosure
I hope so. I’m tired of the crybaby anyways, she brings nothing to the show at all! Focus on the music.
As I’ve said before, I don’t think most fans understand that these ensemble shows should not be casted based on who they like and don’t like. What’s more important is who is entertaining and brings the drama. Real Housewives was never supposed to be about well behaved and likable women. It’s about the mess and drama. Candiace is great at her job. Losing her will definitely hurt the show. The ratings dropped because Monique left but they went back up expeditiously when Wendy, Gizelle, Candiace, and Mia got into it.

Nah namesake, Diva is actually right. Ratings match up with everything she said too. Bravo doesn’t care about who y’all don’t like or like, they care about ratings. Jennie was only fired from RHOSLC because the ratings dropped. That’s why they aren’t consistent with firing people for racism. Ratings are the number one priority over there. Candiace was not fired and it won’t happen as long as she makes y’all mad enough to watch and discuss her.

Candiace makes the show, it would be foolish to lose there money maker, people love to hate her, I adore her, keep Candiace get rid of that sneaky conniving Karen Huger, Bravo is not crazy, they know who’s bringing it and who’s not.
Not a Candiace fan but a lot of these fans are annoying. They truly wake up looking for something to be mad at and they want everyone they don’t like fired. RHOP will have to be canceled if we’re going by who people want fired on Twitter because every single one of these women have people who can’t stand them.
Okay so it’s cleared up now and Candiace was not fired. Makes sense because Bravo would be dumb as h-ll to fire anyone on RHOP right now because it’s just starting to gain popularity. Hate her or love her, Candiace is becoming one of the most popular cast members. Everyone has her name in their mouths. The show is in hiatus and Candiace still trends on Twitter consistently. Business is business.

Candiace is one of the reasons why RHOP is successful. There are people who don’t like her but many who do. They support her music and watch RHOP for her just like her haters do. This is why she wasn’t fired. See you all next season.
Tissue corner Candiace needs to go! Her personality on the show us horrible. The other woman have been on much longer but Candice feels she can do anything and say anything. Never can she admit when she is wrong…but see how Karma is. When Candice instigated the fight with Monique Candice thought she got the last laugh now its on the other foot. Shame, shame, shame
FIRE HER NOW! She is terrible and she’s a trouble maker. She hits below the belt with other cast members, she instigates fights and she hides behind colorism to cover up her bad behavior. She is not responsible and she doesn’t own up to her ignorance and bad behavior, she needs to go. At least when Karen and Gizelle fight they own up to their behavior and wrong doings. She and Wendy are a disgrace to black women.
I am so tired of cancel culture. It’s really stupid at this point. Y’all really be wanting reality stars fired for being problematic when the whole point of reality shows is showing flawed and problematic people’s lives. Reality shows weren’t meant to be wholesome. Stop letting these people’s reads and shade to others hurt your feelings so much. I’m not even a Candiace stan but I can see through the bullsh-t. Some of y’all are way too sensitive and you’re going to struggle getting through life being offended by things that don’t even affect you personally.

None of the RHOP need to be fired because they all bring something to the show that makes it great. Unfortunately people have too many biases to admit this. So it’s too many comments calling for so and so to be fired and it’s annoying. I’ve seen comments calling for every last one of them to be fired for one stupid reason or another. People are way too fragile nowadays and can’t just enjoy good entertainment.
I really don’t care. Will I miss her, no. Just her storyline only was boring to me but when she is with others that’s what people want. The drama of it all. Everyone has been messy and dysfunctional in their relationships with each other on the show. Bravo likes to portray the black women as the ones who give mean shade, bullies, crude, angry, fighters, and just overall ignorant. But this is what makes the real housewives shows and bring the ratings. People who watch this, complain about not having true representation but in the same breath WANT so see the bad drama with bad characters in place. Noone know how to make, have, or watch a show full of black people without drama. I just wish , since there is so much talk about this, just admit you like seeing black women get a check for acting like ignorant fools and STOP bothering Bravo about why one race is portrayed this way when another is another way. Weather people admit it or not this is an acceptable form of tv for black people. None of these people put money on my table so I really don’t care, if someone leaves or not at the end of the day I will still watch. Life moves on, as it did with all others who left the show. Yes Candace is problematic but so is Kenya, Ramona and others. This is what makes the franchise more appealing. I hope going forward the discussion will settled about so called representation of black women, just accept it. It’s business and move on to enjoy and be entertained.
