‘Black Ink Crew’ Recap: Alex Departs + Ceaser Makes a Legal Move & Puma Vows to Fight Back

Teddy receives disappointing news.

Puma and Teddy come to the mansion to give the newbies another update. It turns out they have all made it and are the official Black Ink Harlem staff. All that is left for them to do is open up their new Harlem shop. Made Rich, Miracle, Jahnova, and Santana are excited to know they survived the tough elimination process.

Teddy later delivers some bad news to Puma. They can’t sign the lease for the new shop because his record wasn’t expunged and the process has been put on hold for unknown reasons.

It may be time for Alex to move out of New York.

Alex talks to his child’s mother about their son possibly moving to New York to live with him full-time. She’s not in support of this because it would uproot the child’s entire life. So she invites Alex to move to Atlanta. This isn’t something he thinks he can do since he’s supposed to be working at Puma and Teddy’s new shop.

AMH pops up on Santana, Made Rich, Miracle, and Jahnova while they are out to eat. She tells them that Puma and Teddy aren’t artists so they don’t make sound decisions. And firing her was a bad business decision. Made Rich suggests she shows up at the signing party. But AMH is still fuming about her dismissal. So she’s not sure she wants to be there.

Teddy tells the owner of their building that he has a felony and wasn’t able to get his record expunged yet. However, he’s pleasantly surprised when he learns this isn’t an issue for her. So they can go ahead and sign the lease.

Alex is moving on.

It’s the evening of the signing party. Made Rich arrives with AMH. He doesn’t think it was right that she was fired. She shades the size of the shop and states it’s too small. AMH also cringes when she’s asked if she wants to work there. So this rubs Jahnova the wrong way. Jahnova tells AMH she’s being rude and negative. And Puma points out that what is happening is what he feared would happen with AMH. She goes off and says she shouldn’t have been fired because she is one of the most talented out of the group.

Teddy tells AMH she needs to leave.

After AMH makes her exit, Alex tells Teddy and Puma that he’s moving to Atlanta to be closer to his son. They are disappointed by his choice. But they understand it’s the best decision for his personal life.

In a green screen interview, Alex says being on the show has changed his life for the better. But it’s time for a new chapter with his son.

Ceaser makes a move.

As everyone is celebrating new beginnings, Spyder walks into the shop with an envelope. He hands it over to a confused Puma. Spyder says the document is essentially a cease and desist from Ceaser. And he never gave them permission to open up a Black Ink in Harlem.

Puma says Teddy told him Ceaser was fine with them doing this. But he must have lied. However, Teddy says Ceaser did say it was fine. But he thinks Ceaser ultimately decided to be petty.

Regardless, Puma refuses to back down. And he is going to gear up for war against his former friend.
