Raq thinks Ronnie killed Unique.

Unique’s baby momma Pernessa pops up at Raq’s house demanding to be told Unique’s location. She knows Raq has been sleeping with Unique thanks to Ronnie. Pernessa pulls a gun out on Raq but Raq eventually wrestles it away from her. Raq then says she has nothing to do with Unique’s disappearance.

Famous is in the studio attempting to record a track as Lou Lou handles the production side of things. He struggles to get his verse out due to the stress from his fallout with Kanan. Lou wants him to push through and focus.

Once Raq is able to get Pernessa to calm down, she says she went to the tailor shop looking for Unique and found blood everywhere. It’s been a week and no one has heard from Unique. So she believes he is dead.

Raq asks Pernessa if Ronnie said anything and she says he hasn’t said much like always. At this point, Raq makes it clear that she thinks Ronnie could have harmed Unique since they weren’t on good terms. Pernessa finds this hard to believe since Ronnie always protected Unique. Regardless, Raq reminds her that the brothers change. So she needs to keep her gun on her since the attacker is still out there.

Lou Lou decides to have a talk with Famous after he’s done recording for the day. He can see that Famous is struggling with something. So Lou tells him to live in his truth so it can save him. It’s time to come clean about whatever is eating at him.

Ronnie gives Juliana an update about Unique.

Marvin watches on as Jukebox and her group rehearse in front of some important music executives. Jukebox becomes irritated when Marvin says they should give the girls a shot and Juke is the Diana Ross since she has the best voice. Marvin is kicked out by Juke.

Famous finally comes clean with Kanan. He confirms Raq was the person who put the gun in Kanan’s backpack. Kanan is enraged and tells Famous to move out of the apartment.

Pernessa finds Ronnie putting Unique’s jewelry and possessions in duffle bags. He pushes her to the ground when she tells him not to do this because Unique might return.

Ronnie meets up with Juliana to tell her Unique is gone for good like she wanted. So they can now work together. Juliana agrees to give him heroin but he must keep their business arrangement to himself. And her cousin must not be involved.

The social worker comes through to check in with Kanan and Raq. Although Kanan is angry with Raq, he plays his position well enough to make the social worker think he’s been progressing. Once she leaves, Kanan scoffs at Raq when he says she put the gun in his bag because she loves him. He doesn’t think she’s capable of loving anybody. And he feels she treats him and Lou Lou the same way. Although Raq denies this, Kanan is confident in his theory. He leaves.

Howard confirms Unique’s demise to Raq.

Shirley and Lou Lou notice Marvin looks a bit down when he makes it to Cafe Vous. He confirms he’s feeling like his mouth may have messed things up for Jukebox’s music career. After Shirley pours a couple of shots, Lou encourages Marvin to keep being a hands-on father. And he assures Marvin that it’s not easy to keep the family on the same page. But he encourages Marvin to keep trying.

Kanan’s weed delivery business has taken off so much so that Paul, the man who loaned Kanan his delivery boys, threatens to tell the police about his operation since no one wants to work for him anymore. Kanan tells Paul he pays more and he can’t help the lack of loyalty. To smooth things over, he tells two of his guys to do jobs for Paul. Ronnie looks on and approaches Kanan about coming to his party. When this confuses Kanan, Ronnie promises him he wants to be there.

Raq meets up with Howard to question if he knows anything about Unique’s disappearance. Howard believes Unique is dead. He confirms detectives found bone and skin fragments on a pipe found at the crime scene. They haven’t been able to locate the body but they are all sure Unique is gone. When Howard questions if Raq is fearful she will be next, she tells him being afraid leads to one’s death. But being aware means you can’t be caught off guard because you know all the angles your enemies will come from. So unlike Burke, she isn’t afraid. She’s aware.

Marvin’s past finds him.

Jukebox reads a letter that confirms she passed the army’s entrance exam. Marvin apologizes for his outburst at her rehearsal. She says he may have been right because she’s being considered to be the lead of the group.

Raq goes to Cafe Vous to talk to Lou Lou. She tells him she wants them to hash things out and be close like they used to be. Lou isn’t interested. He tells Raq she used him to do her dirty work when he was young and impressionable. Raq says that doesn’t matter because Lou killed people on his own as well. Lou tells her to leave and he wants nothing to do with her. And he doesn’t believe she’s out of the drug game because that is who she is.

Marvin and Gerald hang out at the park and discuss their daughters. A man approaches Marvin saying he knew him when he used to be with Toni Deep. Although Marvin remembers his deceased ex vividly, he plays like the man has the wrong black guy.

Lou is losing it.

Kanan makes it to the club for Ronnie’s party with Jukebox and her fellow group member Iesha. Ronnie greets Kanan. Jukebox asks Ronnie why he’s having a party when Unique is missing. Ronnie says it’s not a big deal because Unique will be back from his break soon. But Juke says this isn’t what she heard. He gives her the death stare.

Snaps and his wife Pop Henry introduce themselves to Kanan. They confirm they knew Kanan’s “daddy” Def-Con. And Ronnie said that Kanan’s business is booming. When Juke asks what business they are referring to, Kanan doesn’t answer. And when she asks why he’s done with Famous, he tells her the party isn’t the right place for that conversation.

Juke notices that the party is full of drug dealers, so she tells Kanan and Iesha that it’s time for them to go because they have rehearsal in the morning. Ronnie approaches Kanan to tell him to meet some major players. Kanan decides to do just that even though Jukebox tells him Raq would want him to leave. She leaves with Iesha reluctantly when Kanan decides he’s not leaving.

Lou Lou tries to burn off stress in the studio but that goes left when he hallucinates and envisions Scrap there with him playing a video game. He continues to drink to deal with his misery as he quietly sobs.

The feds have eyes on Marvin.

Kanan continues his conversation with Snaps and Pop. Ronnie believes Kanan’s weed couriers will be perfect to sell a harder and more lucrative drug. Kanan says that working with him has nothing to do with Raq. Snaps and Pop say they would have approached Raq if they thought he was working with her. As for Ronnie, he simply says, “**** Raq” passionately. Snaps repeats this with the same passion and Kanan smirks.

Marvin stops by Raq’s new beauty salon when he sees her truck parked outside. She says she had to call a plumber and being the landlord isn’t the work for her. She was trying to go straight but nothing has been going right. So it may be time for her to return to doing what she knows best.

Raq and Marvin pay a visit to Stefano at his fish shop. He offers condolences for Unique. Stefano confirms his contacts in the police department told him that Unique was killed. Raq thanks him and says she’s ready to take over for Unique. Stefano is hesitant but Marvin reminds him that it was Raq he went to in order to eliminate Boselli. So it shouldn’t be an issue to trust her now. Stefano agrees but warns Raq that death will be the only way back out now.

Kanan is starting a new chapter himself. Ronnie comes by his apartment the next morning to drop off packs of heroin for his couriers to sell.

Howard finds out the feds are now looking into Marvin because they believe he has something to do with Toni’s death and they suspect he hired Boselli’s son Marco to do the hit because Toni identified him as being part of a cocaine ring.
