Martell Holt’s arrest has some LAMH fans questioning why he remains on the show when other reality stars have been pushed out for less.
“Love & Marriage: Huntsville” fans have taken to social media to call out the show’s current season. The season started with cast members addressing Martell Holt’s arrest. Melody Shari Rodgers was criticized and accused of being vindictive by a few. Nell Fletcher flat-out said she didn’t think Martell should have been arrested. It bothered her that a “black man” went to jail. Martell described what went down as “just a text message.” He has since been convicted of Domestic Violence, Harassing Communications. As we reported, Melody alleged that Martell threatened to leak an explicit video that was recorded while they were married. He has appealed. However, Martell is currently on probation and thin ice as well when it comes to their ongoing child custody battle.
Considering Martell’s legal issues, as well as Melody alleging that Martell assaulted someone on the set of another OWN show, fans are questioning why OWN has not ended its relationship with Martell. Others wonder why OWN hasn’t released a statement about the matter but continues focusing on Melody’s supporters instead. Others recall a past post from the network’s X account in which Martell’s aggression toward Melody’s mother was painted as a humorous moment. As we reported, Melody and some fans found the post to be extremely inappropriate, but it was never deleted.
Fellow LAMH cast member Marsau Scott also filed a police report against Martell at the height of their past feud. Marsau alleged that Martell threatened him.
Considering other cable networks have fired, suspended, and launched investigations when talent may have crossed over into unethical territory, quite a few LAMH viewers are stunned by the lack of action regarding Martell.

Former LAMH producer and current cast member Sunni Minx recently highlighted why Martell isn’t seemingly going anywhere.
This was discussed during Sunni’s interview with Queen Shiba.
Queen Shiba asked, “You worked on other shows before, way before ‘Love & Marriage: Huntsville.’ You not new to this, you true to this. Based on your experience in the television production industry, why is he still on the show?”
Sunni answered, “Probably because he is some type of producer.”
She continued, “I don’t see them putting him off the show based on the real-life drama that’s going on.”
Sunni explained that some producers prioritize ratings over ethics. Interestingly, LAMH’s ratings have nosedived this season.
The interview was interesting overall. Sunni shared personal details about her life and career, including having John Singleton as a mentor before his tragic passing in 2019.

It’s a sad situation all around and it keeps getting worse. They may talk about Marsau and Tisha but they continue to cash in on the drams along with the millionaire woman who has mother issues and Nell & her husband. Everything else is boring.

OWN can continue to run as see fit but I won’t watch again until Martell is fired. It’s that simple. And judging by the clips, I’m not missing anything.
I’ve checked out of the LAMH circus. Keeping Martell is bad enough but on top of that the show has been boring for 3 seasons now. 😴
Oh please. Martell being a vanity producer isn’t why he won’t be fired. Mariah created her show and was still ousted. These networks have the power to fire anybody. OWN and Carlos won’t fire Martell because they are ignorant and misogynistic. Just look at their other programs. The agenda over at OWN is dumbing down the audience with cheaply produced slop like LAM so they won’t have to spend a fortune on creating high quality scripted shows. The step down in quality since cancelling Queen Sugar and Greenleaf is intentional. So I’m not obligated to keep supporting and won’t.
I fully agree👏👏👏 Greenleaf and Queen Sugar need to return immediately. Its a double edged sword for OWN but the message it sends that Martell can do as he pleases and once he spirals out of control where he cannot come back, then it will be he should have been fired. He has clearly shown us all who he is and he is not a “good” guy as he claims to be and I believe him. What happens if he continues to escalate?
I will never forgive OWN for getting rid of Greenleaf and Queen Sugar. Iyanla too. The whole network used to be lit. Now I have no interest.

Well said. Martell can definitely be fired. They just don’t want to fire him. But they do a good job making all the black women on this show be villains. Meanwhile, Martell always gets the sympathy edits.
Oprah’s fall from grace has been crazy to watch. She went from telling Jay Z it’s ignorant to use the N word in his music to silently keeping an abuser like Martell employed. Yikes.
They are dumb as f-ck then because anyone with sense can see Martell is a huge liability. I don’t have a problem with nobody else on that cast. But Martell is an evil mf. Off principle I ain’t supporting sh-t he’s involved with.

A lot of these shows have taken a nose dive for 1 reason or another. I don’t watch this show anyway so it really doesn’t matter how I feel about it
Sunni manipulated her way onto the show and now she’s giving commentary on other cast members? She should be the first to go because it seems none of the other cast members actually want her there. She can take Martell with her too! Him and his tight too small clothes should have been gone!
