Lil Wayne still hasn’t addressed his controversial lyrics regarding Emmet Till, but he’s now speaking out on his recent health scare that had many news outlets reporting that he his life was in danger. As we reported recently, TMZ reported a couple of weeks ago that the Cash Money Records star was on his deathbed as a result of multiple seizures. The website also claimed he had to have his stomach pumped and the health scare was a result of too much codeine being found in his system. Although Young Money President Mack Maine denied the report, many news outlets began to pick up the story. Allegedly a source told several media outlets that Lil Wayne’s seizures were a result of drinking too much “syrup,” however, Birdman claimed the seizures were just a result of the rapper overworking himself.

Now Weezy is echoing Birdman’s claims in a recent interview with Power 106. He tells DJ Felli Fell:

“The bad news is I’m an epileptic. I’m prone to seizures. This isn’t my first, second, third, fourth, fifth, sixth, seventh seizure.

“I’ve had a bunch of seizures, ya’ll just never hear about them. But this time it got real bad ’cause I had three of them in a row and on the third one, my heart rate went down to like 30 percent. Basically, I could’ve died, so that is why it was so serious.”

Lil Wayne says the constant seizures have forced him to keep people around him who know what to do at all times:

“I have people around me. I actually have [seizures] so much they already know what to do. They already know how to handle it. Certain times I don’t even go to the hospital, but this time, it was real bad because it was three in a row, and I’ve never had three back to back like that.

“The third one was so bad and I live in the hills in L.A. So the reason why it was bad was that I live all the way at the top, so you know how hard it is getting down those hills. That was what was so scary about it.”

Regardless of TMZ getting the report wrong allegedly, Weezy says it’s no love lost with the website:

“That’s what they do. I can’t be upset at that. I get upset at my kids when they do things that I tell them not to do. I can’t be upset at TMZ for doing what they do.”

  1. I thought people either develop epilepsy as infants or as elderly people…for a 30 year old man to develop epilepsy further makes me suspect he has seizures because of too much drug use. That’s not normal.

    1. Exactly. It’s obvious the syrup has severely damaged his brain and the result is frequent seizures. I’d respect him more if he told the truth but this is the same person who compared Emmett Till’s tragic death to sex and refuses to apologize to the family. Fool.

      1. Obviously Birdman thinks his fans are idiots. It makes sense he thinks that way too – he is evil. Can’t y’all see that when he does that handrub?

  2. Damage control like hell. And I’m not buying it. He doesn’t work that much harder than any other overrated rapper out here. But he’s the only one having seizures. I blame the syrup and I am sticking to that.

  3. The seizures ain’t new? Please. They are very new. In this day and age you can’t keep secrets like that from the blogs. There’s no way he’s had this for years and the media just found out a year ago. His pants are on fire and he’s pathetic.

  4. All I can say is I’ve had family members who had seizures and ALL OF THEM were DRUG ADDICTS! So nice try Weezy, but we ain’t buying it!
