Lil Wayne is probably one of the most controversial rappers in the game with the exception of Kanye West, and that’s because he tends to say things in his lyrics that causes a lot of debates and most recently cost him an endorsement deal with Mountain Dew. Not too long after getting dropped from the soda brand for making some rather distasteful sexual references with the mention of Emmett Till’s name, Weezy has found himself in the middle of yet another controversy. And this time it’s not just what he said in his lyrics, it’s also what he actually did in the music video.

Lil Wayne recently shot the music video for his new song “God Bless Amerika,” and in the video after rapping in front of a giant American flag, the rapper than proceeds to step all over the stars and stripes once the flag is released to the ground.

The lyrics to the song have also caused some backlash. He raps:

My country ’tis of thee
Sweet land of kill ’em all and let’ em die
God Bless Amerika
This ole godless Amerika

Some people even took to Twitter to make their disgust known about Lil Wayne’s new video. Here are some tweets from outraged people:

Lil Wayne, you can go to h*ll for stomping all over the American flag. #GoF*ckYourself #YourMusicStillSucks

#lilwayne just another punk a*s who has zero talent disrespects our Flag to get noticed. If I ever see you coming my way ….u better run

Lil Wayne is a douchebag for stepping/jumping on the American flag.

Lil Wayne dancing on the American Flag, huh? Just adds more reasoning to why I hate him

  1. Lil Wayne has become one of the biggest attention whores in rap right after Kanye. Sit down already.

  2. Really? He will do anything for attention. I wish he would just focus on writing better lyrics than pulling all these lame stunts. He’s so overrated.

  3. I guess this fool hasn’t learned anything from the Emmit Till situation you are not invincible wayne he will be issuing an apology soon enough.

  4. He’s obviously doing it for attention but he’s going to regret doing this. It’s one thing when you make black people mad, but get those white folks against you and see what happens. Most of them are buying his crap anyway. He’s playing with fire.

    1. Exactly. He likes pushing buttons but he’s went too far for white ppl at this point. These rappers get money and fame but dont have any common sense on how to keep it. What a waste.
