Kanye West continues to make headlines as his “Yeezus” tour is reportedly having some hiccups in terms of tickets sales and the filling out of arenas the A-list artist could have easily filled out a year or so ago. But despite all the tour drama, Kanye’s latest album is critically acclaimed by some of the most respected music journalists in the field. Perhaps that’s why he’s not too happy that the album only racked up two Grammy nominations.
At last night’s show in Phoenix, the rapper tells the audience:
“Can I talk my sh*t again? I’m 36-years-old and I have 21 Grammys. That’s the most Grammys of any 36-year-old. Out of all those 21 Grammys, I’ve never won a Grammy against a white artist. Now let’s bring it back to the Michael Jackson days when he couldn’t get his video to be played because he was ‘urban.’ So when the Grammy nominations come out and ‘Yeezus’ is the top one or two album on every single list, but only gets two nominations from the Grammys.”
Kanye only gets more passionate and then says:
“What are they trying to say? Did they think that I wouldn’t notice? Do they think that, someway, I don’t have the power to completely diminish all of their credibility at this moment?
“When you see me talking about what people are doing when I say ‘marginalized’, when I say ‘boxed in,’ when I say, ‘hold back,’ when I say people are afraid of the truth, that’s one example right in front of you. And people come to me and they congratulate me on those two nominations…
F*ck those nominations! It’s all but only patronizing. It’s only patronizing. Don’t patronize me. … I would have rather had no nominations.”

Kanye and Kim have to be the biggest attention whores the world has ever seen. I bet they have meetings every week and schedule which stunt to pull each day. They are pathetic and completely annoying.
They have to. And I’m sure Kris helps them. They can’t go a day without getting attention. How sad.
So what will the stunt be tomorrow? Yesterday, Kim’s was that desperate IG selfie where she tried to be Elizabeth Taylor. Today it’s her extremely photoshopped US Weekly Mag cover in which she claims it’s her post childbirth body, yet it looks nothing like that selfie she posted a couple of weeks ago on IG. I wish both would go away.
Does he not understand that his album is trash and the real people who aren’t trying to suck up and get interviews can’t even stomach it?
Oh shut up already. There’s real problems out here in the world and people are struggling and here you are complaining about Grammy nominations. You are so out of touch and I’m beyond tired of hearing about your rich man problems. Ugh!
I’m actually embarrassed for Kanye and Kim at this point. I didn’t think they could sink any lower and they have shown me in these last few weeks that they can. Both of them are repulsive and offensive in every way possible.
Kanye acts like a teenager sulking because the popular kids won’t let him sit with them. Grow up.
Thank you. He’s become almost as big of a joke as Kim. I didn’t think that would ever happen.
Kim and Kanye have to be exhausted. They have to do too much to stay relevant. Aren’t they tired by now?
I don’t know but I sure am.
So what album were those music writers listening to because Yeezus is terrible. You can tell Kanye didn’t have the passion and focus when he made that album.
I wish Kanye and all of the Kardashians and Jenners would just go away. Move to Paris, something! There are way more interesting people to talk about. They are boring and redundant now. All of them.
It’s taking this album forever to go platinum. He really needs to humble himself.
It’s hilarious that Kanye’s concerts are mostly empty now and his album isn’t selling, yet his arrogance is at an all time high.
This is why I sold my Yeezus ticket. I can’t stand this guy anymore.
Don’t worry Kanye, the time will come when the Grammy committee won’t bother with you any longer. Then you can do the world a favor, and implode with rage.
