Evelyn shares an exclusive copy of Ta’Kari Lee’s book.
Evelyn is forwarding a copy of Ta’Kari Lee’s book to everyone at the restaurant with her. Hazel wants to read the book because her family has a similar situation. Evelyn tells the girls about what happened with Ta’Kari’s son getting burned at daycare and says Jackie didn’t go to see him after accident.
Hazel feels some type of way about this being a parent.
They aren’t feeling Jackie’s relationship with Ta’Kari but move on from the subject.
The next day, Jennifer and Shaunie meet with Evelyn on the beach. Jennifer and Evelyn pull out physical copies of the book and they feel some type of way about what Ta’Kari wrote.
Evelyn begins to reads aloud excerpts from the book and she begins to cry.
“This book is just confirming that Jackie is a bigger monster than we’ve ever seen.” – Evelyn.
Jennifer then reads an excerpt of how Ta’kari wrote her first suicide note. Shaunie is just stunned about what’s in the book.
“This is Ta’Kari’s truth. But Jackie has her truth. I’m just torn.” – Shaunie
Evelyn is nervous about Jackie finding out she has copies of the book. She knows it will only intensify their fallout.
Shaunie confronts Jackie about not seeing her grandson.
Meanwhile, Jackie and Tami are walking the boardwalk in South Beach. Shaunie joins them and Jackie apologizes. She says she was hurt about the interview Shaunie did but she shouldn’t have went off. Shaunie tells her that she doesn’t know what to believe and that Jackie hasn’t gone to see her grandson.
Jackie doesn’t deny this and tells Shaunie she hasn’t seen him because she has to work.
Jackie says she kept all her correspondence between her and Ta’Kari and has supported her. She then tells Shaunie that Ta’Kari is pregnant.
Jackie pleads with Shaunie to tell Evelyn to leave Ta’Kari alone.
However, Shaunie feels that Jackie needs to be quiet about everything, and stop trying to prove she’s a great mom and grandmother. She tells Jackie that she will tell Evelyn to back off from the situation.
When Evelyn and Shaunie get together, Shaunie tells her about Jackie’s request. Meanwhile, Evelyn is wondering why Tami isn’t accepting her invites to hang out. In a green screen interview, Evelyn says she thinks Tami is on Jackie’s side and that is why she isn’t around much anymore.
Shaunie recaps her conversation she had with Jackie.
Evelyn jokes in her green screen interview that she should invest in chokers, which she uses to cover up her “turkey neck,” and waist trainers.
Evelyn also feels that Tami is “drinking the Kool-Aid” when it comes to Jackie. Shaunie even tells her about how Tami looked at her crazy when she told Jackie she wasn’t sure where she stood with Jackie.
Shaunie changes the subject and asks about the IVF treatment. Evelyn says it’s going slow, but when she’ll be able to choose the s*x of the child.
She then tells a story about how her ex would take his side chicks to the restaurant. Shaunie then tells her story about how she vandalized her ex-husband’s car after she found text messages in his phone.
Malaysia defends Jackie, gets checked by Evelyn.
It’s their last night in Miami and they are hanging out in Shaunie’s condo. Shaunie wants to go to dinner and Evelyn says she’s okay with Jackie being there. However, Malaysia is trying to get to the bottom of everything.
Shaunie tells everyone about what Jackie said about not seeing her grandson. Malaysia then says that she just doesn’t think Jackie would intentionally hurt anyone.
This doesn’t sit well with Evelyn.
“When you enable people, you’re part of the problem.” – Evelyn
However, Malyasia refutes and tells Evelyn that she is allowing Jackie to run her family how she sees fit.
Hazel and Malaysia end the conversation and they head to the beach. Meanwhile Jennifer and Evelyn head to Lincoln Road for shopping. Tami joins them and they talk about what happened with Malaysia at the condo. Evelyn is adamant about not accepting Jackie’s apology for what she said about Shanice. She is also adamant about how she feels about Jackie as a person.
“There’s nothing you can to do convince me that Jackie is a good person.” – Evelyn
Hazel and Malaysia are at the beach to learn how to paddle board, and Jackie joins them on the fun. Hazel and Malaysia are on the boards while Jackie watches, and panics.
When they’re done, they hang out on the beach and Malaysia speaks about what they talked about at Shaunie’s condo. Jackie is about done with the topic.
“Back the f*** up out my family business.” – Jackie
When they’re done shopping, Evelyn, Jennifer and Tami are out to eat. Tami is defending Jackie’s behavior. She also says that Chantel wants Jackie in her life and maybe Ta’Kari doesn’t. Evelyn says that doesn’t appear to be the case but Tami says she just wants to stay out of the situation.
Jennifer is nervous about Jackie finding out about the copy of the book she has.
Malaysia tells Jackie about Evelyn sharing the book excerpts with everyone.
Shaunie invited everyone out for dinner, including Jackie. Jennifer, Hazel and Malaysia get there first. Hazel wants to tell Jackie how she feels about the situation and Jennifer tells the ladies about reading an advanced copy of the book. Malaysia asks if she’s going to tell Jackie about this and Jenn says she will. Malaysia thinks this isn’t a good idea.
Shaunie and Evelyn arrive later and Evelyn feels awkward. Lastly, Jackie and Tami arrive together. Jackie and Malaysia head off to the bathroom so Malaysia can fill Jackie in on what was said. When they leave, Jennifer tells everyone else that she read the book. Tami isn’t pleased with Evelyn for passing the copies out.
“Evelyn, you are definitely poking the bear. You just might get f***ed up.” – Tami
At the bathroom, Malaysia tells Jackie they read the book and Jackie is pissed.
“The ladies reading a false statement of her life is disgusting.” – Jackie
Evelyn and Jackie have one last moment and Jackie gets into it with Shaunie for not having her back.
When they are back at the table, Jackie tackles the topic head on, first going at Hazel. Hazel tells her that her sister and mother have a similar relationship and she wants Jackie and Ta’Kari to work on their relationship. Jackie tells Hazel that is her goal.
But she tells Hazel that Ta’kari has issues and her stories are fabrications.
Jennifer then tells her about reading about Ta’Kari writing her first suicide note.
“It’s just a cry for love.” – Jennifer
Jackie tells Jennifer that people believe what is printed and she wants to improve her relationship with her daughter. Jackie then brings up in her green screen interview that Evelyn is kicking her under the table trying to get her attention. She feels that Evelyn wants to work on their relationship, but won’t publicly let this be known.
Jackie apologizes again for what she said about Shanice but Evelyn is once again not here for it.
“Pulling the daughter card… There’s no coming back from that.” – Evelyn
Evelyn then asks for the $3,500 she donated to Ta’Kari back and Jackie says she can get $.35 cents back, but she can get her money back from Ta’Kari. Then, Jackie, Malaysia and Tami all get up and leave. When they are outside, Jackie tells Malaysia and Tami that Evelyn is sneaking feet touches under the table.
However, Shaunie and Evelyn walk outside with Hazel and Jennifer and overhear the conversation.
Shaunie asks what Jackie said but this just causes an argument between them. Jackie asks if she was her friend, and Shaunie replies, “I think so.”
This causes Jackie to go off on Shaunie. She angrily tells her that she’s fed up about Ta’Kari being discussed in the group.
Shaunie doesn’t like how aggressive Jackie was towards her, and decides their friendship is over.
“I am completely done with Jackie Christie.” – Shaunie
What are your thoughts on the episode?
Just ready for the reunion.
I think Shaunie is really considering firing Jackie now. I don’t blame her either.
Jackie needs professional help. I don’t believe Takari is fabricating anything. Why would she want to destroy her mom with lies… I never heard Jackie mention her daughter throughout all odfthe seasons as much as she did this season. Her daughter was not a part of her reality. This is a reality show right. So who is fabricating their story. “JACKIE”
I pray that they do resolve they issues.
