‘Baller Wives’ Recap: Channing Stands His Ground with Miko + Miko Confronts Kijafa

Aja’s husband Channing Crowder stands his ground with Miko.

Channing and Miko face off about Miko about getting fired from the radio station at Aja’s house showing. Miko finally tells Channing that she heard he went behind her back and persuaded bosses to let her go.

When Channing heard this, he replied that he is paid by the station to cover the Miami Dolphins, and had to speak on air about Miko dogging out their quarterback. Miko did admit in an earlier episode she talked about this QB to help get her husband out of his contract. She also says that Channing did come to that QB’s defense on his radio show in her green screen interview.

Channing went on and also said he said what he said on the air because he saw Brent being asked tough questions about it, claiming it was unfair to Brent to have to defend himself over things Miko said.

Aja says that Channing likes and respects in women in sports and Miko is just sensitive about what Channing said.

Mike then talks about having a degree is mass communications, but Channing tells Miko she’s not as talented as she thinks she is.

“If you were so talented, you would have a job right now. There are 4 stations in town and you were fired from one of them.” – Channing Crowder

Miko is speechless.

Brent finally steps in and says that everyone can just agree to disagree, and squash their beefs. Channing agrees, and Miko reluctantly does so too.

When they part ways, Miko decides to talk to Kelly Jones. Kelly tells Miko that her husband James loved his interview he had for her podcast. She also lets Miko know that Kijafa told her that she was the mean girl of the group and it made her uneasy about getting to know her. This angers and she feels that she and Kijafa need to have a sit down.

Miko questions Kijafa’s motives in a green screen interview.

“What’s your problem? Why don’t you want your friends to get to know me? Are you afraid your friends will actually like me, and that’s gonna piss you off?” – Miko

Kelly and Julius really don’t want their kids playing football.

Julius and Kelly take their sons to play indoor soccer. Kelly and Julius want their sons exposed to all different kinds of sports. He wants them to play multiple sports. When they finished playing, their oldest son says he wants to play football. His parents scoff at this notion, because they are concerned about his safety.

Kijafa tells Miko they aren’t friends.

Meanwhile, Kijafa and Miko meet for lunch, and Miko is ready to let her she isn’t cool with the sneak dissing.

Miko tells her that Kelly apologized to her for saying she prejudged her, and she said Kijafa called Miko a bully. Kijafa says she did call her a bully because Kijafa thinks she was a bully towards Aja. Miko then says that she was being a friend towards her, but Kijafa says they were never friends. This is a surprise to Miko, because she brought her son to her house, plus Miko also came by in the past to cook for Kijafa.

Kijafa explains that she hosts at her home a lot, and she entertains other wives on the regular.

“What do I gotta do to be friends, birth a baby for you?” – Miko

Asante gets injured during his boxing match, and Jeniva is worried.

Jeniva brings Kijafa to Asante’s latest boxing match and she is really nervous about his boxing. The match starts and Asante delivers and takes blows to his face. Kijafa agrees with Jeniva, and thinks she should withhold “the cookie” until he quits boxing.

In the second round, Asante is struggling to breathe through his nose. When the match ends, he is getting checked out by doctors and Jeniva is through with it all.

Miko express frustration with Kijafa to Jeniva, but Jeniva stays neutral.

Later on, Miko invites Jeniva over for dinner and talks about Kijafa. Miko gets right into it and says that Kijafa is a “stank a** b****.”

Miko says she tried her hardest to be a friend, including arriving early to her home to help prep for an event.

“Kijafa wants you to walk behind her, and licking her a** the entire time. And then, after maybe a year or two of doing that, and allowing her to stick her fingers up her a**, and puppet you, telling you everything to say, then maybe she will consider you for friendship.” – Miko

Jeniva tells her that they are neighbors and she’s not getting involved with their foolishness. She just wants everyone to be cool and get along. Despite this, Miko is really happy to be friends with Jeniva. Jeniva is also invited to Miko’s anniversary party, and Stacey Chambers is invited too. This disappoints Jeniva who is still beefing with Stacey.

Asante heads back home from the doctor. Jeniva made him get x-rays for his nose injury suffered in the ring. The doctor calls, and tells him about the x-ray. Asante is told he has a blood hematoma in his nose that has to be dealt with.

Jeniva says, “It’s a wrap for boxing.”

At Kijafa’s gender reveal party, Mike gives Julius’ son sound advice.

Kijafa is FaceTiming her stylist, getting ready for her gender reveal party. Michael wants to have a boy. He is in a house full of women and would love to have a boy in his home to balance out things. Kijafa knows this and also hopes for a boy.

James and Kelly are the first couple to arrive. Jeniva arrives without Asante, telling Kijafa that he has to have surgery. She tells Kijafa she is frustrated and scared Asante could get seriously hurt during the surgery.

James and Michael talk about James’ son wanting to play football. James wants him to play another sport, and Mike agrees.

“He can focus on other things that are less stressful, less painful.” – Mike

Michael then talks to his son and tells him to listen to his dad about playing football.

“Listen to your dad. He ain’t gonna tell you no wrong. Don’t get offended if he tell you not to play football. It’s a rough game.” – Mike

Kijafa and Mike reveal the gender at the party by popping a balloon. Mike gets excited when it is revealed it’s a boy.

James and Channing congratulate Michael.

At Miko and Brent’s anniversary party, Miko hooks Crystal up with Brent’s teammate.

Miko is hosting her anniversary party and guests are arriving. Miko loves the relationship she has with Brent. Meanwhile, Brent is joking that it’s been “7 years with the ball and chain.”

After Miko and Brent give a speech, Miko introduces Crystal to Robert McClain, Brent’s teammate. Miko feels Crystal goes after the wrong kind of guys and feels Robert is good for her. However, Crystal doesn’t feel right about dating another football player.

Miko questions her friendship with Jeniva.

Things turn interesting when Stacey asks Miko later on why Jeniva isn’t at the party. Miko is perplexed because Jeniva didn’t tell her she wasn’t coming, so she calls her.

Jeniva tells her that she never told her she was even coming.

“Miko, I never told you I was coming to your party. If I don’t show up, I don’t show up.” – Jeniva

Miko isn’t happy that Jeniva didn’t call her and tell her she wasn’t coming. She thought it was disrespectful to do this. Now, Miko wonders if they were even real friends in the first place.

  1. brent was probably glad he was off the hot seat and someone was handling miko, she needs to go sit down somewhere. I know every show has to have one but, she bores me she’s so needy and petty, her and that stacy who needs validation. these are truly some messy chicks…

  2. Exactly I thought it was just me who saw that she really needs to have friends in her life who really don’t even like her! I found it odd that she would have a anniversary party with all of these people but yet you still find time to go into a separate room to call someone who really isn’t that close to you to ask them why they’re not coming and then want to argue about it. Girl the only person who need to worry about who likes you is ur husband and your children.
