Fans of Starz’s hit show “Power” have been very critical of how Tasha St. Patrick has been portrayed on the show. Fans critical of Courtney Kemp feel that the Courtney has showing Tasha negatively by having her pursue multiple men that Ghost worked with.
Tasha previously got involved with Shawn, Ghost’s former driver, after Ghost started an affair with Angela. Fans are also angry about Tasha’s overall premise on the show, which involved Tasha telling Ghost she didn’t want to stop drug trafficking. Some have pointed at this as racial bias, since Angela, a white Latina, is the one who encouraged Ghost to pursue a life free of crime.
After last Sunday’s episode aired, angry fans began to call out Courtney for Tasha’s portrayal.
However, Courtney was quick to defend herself.

I do have some reservations about what they are doing with Tasha but part of me thinks Tasha is the one who will win in the end. We’ll see though.
I thought that too but now I think Angie will be the one who wins in the end and Ghost.
I feel the same way, they make Tasha look like a hood booger while Angela is more polished. And let’s not forget how 50 cent feels about Black women.
Courtney had a tough week. But she has to realize why Tasha is problematic. I still want her to win and I hope he does sooner than later.
I definitely understand how people feel. Tasha deserves better but for some reason, she keeps being made out to be the bad guy while Angela is some savior. It’s annoying.
The character development for Tasha is why I stopped watching. It’s clear Courtney favors Angela.
In the back of some blk minds the white skinned women gets love while the darker skinned women continues to sleep around longing for that perfect relationship. Courtney needs to stop writing for societies new wave and write from a strong woman’s perspective Tasha is about “family” therefore she would be focused on Tariq, her daughter and the image of her family not on jus getting laid!
They should have made Angie Afro-Latina. Then this wouldn’t be such a touchy subject.
You got dumb a-s black men on Facebook on Power’s page right now posting Memes calling Tasha a hood rat and Angela Ghost’s true love. Black women have a right to be angry. Dumb a-s black men are using this show to bash us and a black woman is giving them the leverage to do so every week with this sh-tty a-s season.
I think if they keep this bulsh-t up ,the ratings most definitely will suffer..im about tired of watching Angela be the good guy. Tasha is a strong black woman but keeps getting f-cked over….lol..reminds me of Cookie
I never liked Tasha for ghost and I tell you why, she doesn’t love ghost, she just wants to be the wife of the biggest drug dealer in town. When he wanted out the street life she was pressing him to stay in it as if working an honest job/owning a legit business was for suckers. I can’t stand mouse face but atleast her love for ghost was genuine and unconditional.

Tasha sucks. Angie is much better. Courtney knows this too.
I can see why people get upset. It’s disappointing seeing another dark skinned black woman portrayed as the “hoodrat” with money, who gets left for a white woman. It gives people another excuse to bash black women online & glorify women with lighter skin tones, since they’re perceived to be nicer & classy. Even if the Angela character makes a mistake, she always gets to redeem herself.
