Watch: Malaysia Pargo Relives Brother’s Shooting In ‘Basketball Wives’ Preview

Tonight’s episode of “Basketball Wives” will have Malaysia taking about the shooting of her brother Dontae Hayes. Dontae was shot the morning of December 31st, 2013 in Riverside, California.

According to reports, the shooting occurred in a park in Riverside. Police claimed Malaysia Pargo’s brother Dontae reached for a gun as they tried to arrest him as he had a warrant issued for a failure to appear in traffic court.

However, Malaysia and her family feel Dontae was unfairly shot and killed by the police. The family filed wrongful death lawsuit against the Riverside Police Department.

A friend of Dontae Hayes disputed the city’s claim and said Dontae did not have a gun on him.

In a clip for tonight’s episode, Malaysia talks about the incident with her family. Malaysia mentions that she’s scared of police.

In the clip, Malaysia says, “When they pull up aside me, I wonder if they’re gonna kill me too.”

Malaysia begins to cry as she talks about that day. She claims fault in everything because she says she was supposed to pick Dontae up that morning but was being lazy.
