Things have worsened between Dr. Contessa Metcalfe and Dr. Scott Metcalfe.

Married to Medicine” star Dr. Contessa Metcalfe is having a tough current season. While she’s always been open about the ups and downs of her marriage, her issues with Dr. Scott Metcalfe have seemingly worsened. In the past, the couple clashed as Contessa began to express she wanted to cool down on her career. She wanted to stay at home with their children. Scott wasn’t completely sold on this but he eventually came around. And Contessa came to the conclusion that the stay-at-home mom role wasn’t really for her. So since she missed working, she returned to the office.

Contessa would later go to grad school in Tennessee. Scott became overwhelmed with the children, so it led to a lot of arguments between them. It was a very emotional time for Contessa. She said that the instance was just showing that Scott didn’t fully support her dreams. And she revealed on the show that she left the Navy for Scott because he wanted to focus on growing their family.

Scott eventually came around and Contessa was able to finish grad school and get one step closer to becoming Surgeon General.

On the latest episodes, Contessa has expressed that she believes that her connection to Scott is waning. So she suggested that they get therapy. Well, Scott wasn’t feeling this. But he later told Contessa he’s been talking to a female therapist for several months. He hasn’t paid her and this caught Contessa off guard. When she mentioned it to Quad Webb and Dr. Jackie Walters, she said that she didn’t think that this means Scott is having an affair.

Well, on the upcoming episode, Kari Wells said she overheard a very explosive conversation between Scott and Contessa. And Contessa is outraged that Kari shared this. She recently went off on Kari, too.
