Did ‘Basketball Wives’ Producers Set Malaysia Pargo Up on the Upcoming Season?

Colorism accusations brought a lot of controversy to “Basketball Wives.”

Basketball Wives” fans can all probably agree that the latest season was another controversial one. OG accused the cast of having a colorism issue, and she believed she was treated unfairly because she is a dark-skinned woman. In fact, she wasn’t allowed to film the reunion with the rest of the cast the season prior. It was said that the issue was OG scared them. They feared things could turn violent while filming scenes with her. However, OG pointed out that she had never been in any physical altercations on the show. And her main foe at the time, Evelyn Lozada, had been in numerous altercations. However, the other women weren’t afraid to continue filming scenes with Evelyn.

OG and Evelyn’s feud would result in a court battle. After things got shady on social media, Evelyn made use of a laughing monkey emoji on her Instagram Story. And OG accused Evelyn of being racist because she believes the monkey was used to reference her. So Evelyn sued OG for defamation. OG then countersued for emotional distress.

Over time, some of the other women said it was difficult to film with OG. They worried about her accusing them of colorism. So OG became somewhat of an outcast on the show during the recent season. And she won’t be on the upcoming season. Neither will Evelyn.

Interestingly enough, it’s possible Malaysia Pargo may be the outsider during season 10. And some are wondering if this was the plan of the producers considering the casting choices made.

Everyone gets a turn being in the hot seat. It’s Malaysia’s turn.

I can’t see Malaysia being on a show where there are frenemies.
Personally I don’t like watching shows where Black women are fighting sll of the time.

I don’t particularly enjoy watching one person get ganged up on all season. So this doesn’t sound entertaining to me. Just more mean girl stuff you’re supposed to grow out of in high school.

As long as Malaysia doesn’t let them punk her, this could be interesting.

I just want to know why Malaysia and Brandi fell out.

Probably over Shaunie & “Evilyn”, kissing their behinds.

Few years back, Shaunie & “Evilyn” (AND Tami Roman) treated Brandi like she was non-existent when Malaysia invited her to their get-together. They refused to acknowledge her and got in their car and drove away, leaving the restaurant.

And it seems that Malaysia has now forgotten about how horrible Shaunie & “Evilyn” treated Brandi since she’s been sniffing around them and Brandi feels a certain way about it (and Brandi’s been in her life WAY longer than THOSE OTHER TWO)
