Jojo vents to Tanice about Buck throwing the ice.
The episode begins where last week left off. Jojo makes it home after his conversation and altercation with Tanice’s father Buck. He tells Tanice that he’s done with Buck after getting a bucket of ice thrown at him at the studio. Jojo also tells Tanice that Buck is mad about not walking her down the aisle.
During a phone conversation about Jojo, Buck tells Tanice that he threw the ice because he didn’t want to “drag him by his collar.”
The conversation doesn’t last very long. When Tanice hangs up, she vents about how Buck turned his back on her when she began dating Jojo. So, she’s going to put her feelings aside and talk to Buck once more.
Meanwhile, in LA, Tee Tee’s at her home when she calls Egypt. They’re still cordial and Egypt had a gender reveal. Egypt lets Tee Tee know she’s having a girl. Tee Tee invites Egypt to a get-together at her house. However, Tee Tee lets Egypt know Shawn isn’t interested in talking to her or Sam.
So because of the tension with Sam and Shawn, Tee Tee realizes inviting Egypt only to this may not be the best idea. Despite this, Egypt still wants them both at the wedding.
Eric sets up a romantic dinner at home.
Back in Las Vegas, Eric’s making a change. He’s at home in the evening for once and he’s seeking to show Aaliyah a good night. Aaliyah walks into rose petals on the floor, flowers, and a candlelight dinner. She’s just shocked he’s home.
Aaliyah wants to talk about Eric having a balance. She wants Eric to spend quality time with her and the family. She’s willing to compromise and give Eric certain nights to gamble.
During their date, Eric reveals he’s going to have a secret guest with him at Tee Tee’s party. They also talk about the 50th-anniversary event and then Sam’s upcoming court date. They worry for Sam’s future.
Tanice confronts Buck.
Back in New York City, Tanice heads to her dinner date with her dad Buck and brother Chev. When she sits down, Buck does his best to ignore Tanice. Tanice, despite this, still demands to know why Buck threw the bucket of ice at Jojo. Buck says he’s glad he didn’t choke Jojo after asking him to leave multiple times.
He also tells Tanice it was disrespectful for him to not be allowed to walk her down the aisle. Tanice says she wasn’t going to allow Buck to do that because he never respected Jojo or her relationship with him.
The conversation isn’t productive, unfortunately.
Sam learns he will be sentenced two days after the wedding.
Later on in Vegas, Egypt, and Sam are being driven to his court hearing. They’re late and Sam’s nervous. But Egypt’s hopeful the case will be thrown out. On the way to the hearing, Egypt tells Sam about Tee Tee’s invite/uninvite to her event because Sam wasn’t invited. And before they get to the courthouse, Egypt hopes she manifested the court case getting dismissed.
Unfortunately, they arrive at the courthouse 10 minutes late.
Meanwhile, Shawn and Tee Tee are setting up for her party. They’re using a friend’s backyard for the event and this leads to a talk about buying a home in LA.
Back in Vegas, Sam, and Egypt are somber. They reveal Sam’s getting sentenced on February 1st. He’s facing one to four years in prison and at least two years of probation. The sentencing is two days after the wedding. He will accept whatever sentence they receive.
Later on, Eric calls Shawn and Tee Tee about the party. Eric asks if he can bring a friend. Despite guessing about the guest, they are okay with Eric bringing them by.
The guest is someone they all know; Romeo. Before heading to the party, Eric meets Romeo in LA. Apparently, Romeo called Eric for a talk.
Romeo wants closure.
Romeo is willing to admit he was wrong about what happened with him and the Simmons kids. Eric suggests using Tee Tee’s party as a chance to reconcile. This is despite Romeo not liking how Jojo handled the situation with Angela.
Later on, Tee Tee’s guests arrived with Sakoya arriving first. Tee Tee tells Sakoya that Cree wasn’t invited. She’s relieved.
As the party gets underway, the episode ends with Eric and Romeo arriving at the house.
