Chris Samuels and Monique Samuels are ending their marriage after ten years.
“Real Housewives of Potomac” and “Love & Marriage: DC” alum Monique Samuels is a hot topic on social media right now. Hours ago, it was confirmed she filed for divorce from Chris Samuels. According to People Magazine, Monique first filed a complaint for absolute divorce back in April. She then filed an amended complaint for absolute divorce on June 15. The amendment is what possibly set off the media outlets to the matter.
Interestingly enough, Monique and Chris’ split was rumored late last year. Ashley Darby was doing press for the most recent season of RHOP. She confirmed she’s still good friends with Monique. And Monique was going through some type of change in her living situation. Not too long after, People Magazine reported the couple had separated. Chris and Monique then hopped on Instagram Live to shut down the reports.
Monique and Chris’ issues were addressed while they appeared on “Real Housewives of Potomac.” Chris’ mother called Monique a “heifer.” She also accused Monique of being a golddigger who needed to get her own income stream. Eventually, she apologized. And she did so while they filmed scenes at the Rainbow Baby party Monique and Chris threw. So it seemed as if Monique was working out the issues she had with her mother-in-law.

After Monique departed RHOP, she and Chris moved on to LAMDC. Monique said that she and Chris were on the brink of divorce before they started filming. But a spiritual retreat motivated Monique not to end it. So they decided to work on their marriage. However, they had tense moments on the new show. Monique complained that Chris wasn’t doing enough to help her with their household and kids. And it was the reason why she was so stressed out and overwhelmed.
While Monique and Chris have not yet addressed their impending divorce publicly, people have still been paying close attention to their social media actions. So they noticed that Chris has unfollowed Monique on Instagram since news of the divorce went viral.

Monique has also filed a petition to seal all of the divorce documents.
So Monique didn’t want to be on tv anymore because she knew she was leaving this man and didn’t want to talk about it.
Monique was in it for the money. Chris is a good man. Monique did not deserve him. Monique is a more evil Jada. Sure hope there was a pre nup.
You got that right!!! She stayed with him 10 yrs and that way if Chris doesn’t remarry, she will be set up with his benefits. To be honest from the time they appeared on the show, Monique was somewhat bougie. As time went on she started complaining about her husband. There were red flags she didn’t want to be with him anymore.
10 yrs in some states and she gets half of his retirement. Oh Monique will be used
the same way she has used Chris. This Bish was living in a car when he hired her as
his personal assistant. I thought his momma was nasty but after watching her second season on the show, I could easily tell she grew up POOR. She had to make
sure you knew it was this or that. H-ll don’t come to my house looking for that Rich
People stuff because if it’s not on sale or red tag I’m not looking at it…Monique has
a man already, her best friend of 13yrs told Chris she was cheating with her trainer.
Chris chose to believe her but she was livid when Chris said something about his ex
girlfriend before Monique. Monique friend also told him what she did to break them
up and then move in to help heal that broken heart.

I’m not surprised. She spent a lot of time telling Gizelle she couldn’t keep a man and now she’s too embarrassed to tell people she’s about to be single too. Typical.
He has to get ahead of it. Monique will act like he has 3 heads. She drug and disrespected Chris throughout their time on LAMDC
I agree she put this man down constantly during filming. When you love someone you never want them to feel less than but it appeared that she didn’t care. Move on Chris there are other fish in the sea.
