For weeks, “Real Housewives of Atlanta” star Kenya Moore has been teasing fans about her upcoming sitcom “Life Twirls On,” and she’s really excited about the project because she produced it.

However, former “Fresh Prince of Bel-Air” star Janet Hubert has been putting a damper on the show already because she claims she was never compensated by Kenya even though she was one of the star actresses.

Janet even claimed recently on Facebook that she filed criminal charges on Kenya.

Kenya responded in a recent interview.

via Hello Beautiful:

HB: Is there any truth to Janet Hubert’s claims she wasn’t paid for her role in Life Twirls On?

KM: Those are all false. I don’t fight legal battles on social media. Everyone in my production was paid.

Kenya also addressed the accusations on her Instagram account too:

I don’t fight dirty and when it comes to my business I don’t play.

There have been numerous false allegations made from Janet Hubert regarding non-payment for her work on the TV pilot Life Twirls On and most recently criminal activity. Although Miss Hubert had been issued a total of 4 checks for her work since November 2014, SAG/AFTRA has officially determined that Moore Vision Media does not owe Miss Hubert any additional payment and all claims have been settled.

We regret Miss Hubert felt it necessary to make relentless personal attacks by slandering the producers, however, we echo the sentiment of the producers of the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air and wish Miss Hubert well in her future endeavors.

Life Twirls On premieres tomorrow Friday, May 8, 2015 at 8pm. Please go to Facebook.com/thekenyamoore or KenyaMoore.com to watch. Network premiere TBA.

  1. I don’t care for Kenya, but I’m starting to wonder if Janet is lying myself. If she really sued Kenya and pressed criminal charges, TMZ or some ATL media outlets would have reported it. Just like the AJC stays on Phaedra’s case with Angela Stanton, they wouldn’t have missed this. And this is hard for me to say because I don’t do Kenya at all.

    1. I gotta agree. I was Team Janet but you can’t say you sued someone and don’t show the paperwork. For all we know she’s just talking to get attention. It’s definitely been working.

  2. The real question is why did it take Kenya a whole f-cking month to clap back? Sh-t is still fishy to me.

  3. I will give Kenya the benefit of the doubt for once and try to believe her but if Janet comes back with some proof of the contrary. I hope all Kenya stans see how much of a pathological liar she is. This will be the 3rd or 4th time she will be caught flat out lying.

  4. I think Janet is lying and I have been feeling that way from day one. You can’t sue a reality star and no site reports on it. Especially the way the media hangs out at the courts for a story. If Kenya was sued, it would be actual documents everywhere on every blog. Janet is lying.

  5. I keep saying something wasn’t adding up for me. You sue Kenya and file a report on her and TMZ didn’t catch it? Nope. That doesn’t happen. Janet just wants attention. Anyway, this just validates Will too. People were feeling sorry for her and saying he did her wrong, but I’m sure she was the one who caused the trouble.

  6. As long as it took Kenya to respond, you would think she would also provide proof of payment. But ok.

  7. Much as this broad likes to post her “receipts” on IG, imma wait to see those 4 canceled checks first before I believe anything out of Kenya’s lying mouth.

  8. omg who can deny her chocolate beauty *sigh* no homo but sometime she just so silky chocolate and i have to ignore everything else lol

  9. I don’t get why Janet would lie about this? I know she’s crazy and all but still, someone has some explaining to do.

  10. She’s probably just now paying the lady. We all know how long it takes Kenya to cut a damn check.

  11. Surely if Kenya Moore had paid Ms Hubert when she should have done why has it taken her so long to respond to the accusations? Why on earth let it drag on when it could only make her and her [production company look bad? Why was payment for one pilot episode made up of four cheques? Surely if the budget had been properly in place at the time that the actors were engaged it wouldn’t have been necessary to pay them in instalments. Notice that Kenya Moore doesn’t say exactly when these cheques were actually paid. Was it last year? The beginning of this year, last month, or maybe once a date had been set for the pilot to be ‘broadcast’ on Facebook (shakes head) and it was important to make sure all the i’s were dotted and the t’s crossed before that could happen.

    1. Thank you! It’s taken Kenya a really long time to respond which is usually not her style at all, and her show was supposed to premiere after the reunion…..we still haven’t seen it yet. Also, those checks could be dated last Monday for all we know. Something ain’t clean in the buttermilk!
