It’s one week after the Miami trip.

Charmaine is back at work at the radio station.

She still feels like the gang took Lily’s side over her.

In the meantime, she can’t believe Nipsey was killed. She reminisces about interviewing him nearly a year ago.

She tells her radio listeners that Nipsey will live on through his music.

Lily returns to the old 9Mag shop.

She tells Van that she just didn’t think she would be happy at the new shop. Van says it’s sad to see Charmaine go but she has to do what’s best for her.

Don tells Lily she’s a great artist and they know what she can bring to the table.

“We want you back around.” – Van

At the new shop, Ryan gets some bad news.

Gina hands him a big envelope.

It’s a lawsuit. A past client is suing because she says the cover-up tattoo Van gave her looks bad.

Since the client is also suing 9Mag, this is now Ryan’s problem too.

Don and Ashley are looking at homes.

Their agent takes them by to see a two story house.

Ashley and Don are really feeling this house.

When Don finds out the house is $869,000, he is in shock.

But he really likes it even though it’s out of their price range.

Jenn and Van are back together.

Van tells Jenn he got his daughter a Land Rover. He feels like she deserves it because she’s a good kid.

At the new shop, Ryan welcomes a guest artist.

It’s Shine.

Shine is glad to see the progress Ryan made in the new shop. He’s also happy he will see Lily again.

Van confronts his daughter.

He found some blunts and thinks she may be smoking weed.

When he asks her this, she doesn’t answer.

She eventually says she was just holding the blunts for a friend before admitting that she has been smoking.

He tells her she won’t be driving the car he got her anytime soon.

Don and Ashley get declined for the house.

It’s disappointing to learn they won’t be able to get the house.

His agent says that he has been approved for a $200,000 loan. Don knows he’s going to have to work harder to get Ashley’s dream house.

Shine goes back to the old shop.

He speaks to everyone, especially Lily.

There’s some tension between Shine and Van. In a green screen interview, Lily says Van is jealous of talent.

Ryan tells Van about the lawsuit.

He confirms the woman is suing 9Mag, Van, and Ryan.

Van says that he knows about the client and they clashed over the tattoo. He says he made the tattoo too dark for her liking.

So Van says he’s going to talk to his lawyer soon.

Ryan then says another client reached out and said Van’s tattoo got infected. So he’s coming to the shop to confront Van.

The client comes in and Van rememberers that he did his tattoo of his deceased brother.

Van apologizes and feels bad that the tattoo sent him to the hospital. The client says he’s not going to sue because Van is a black man. To make things right, Ryan will give him another tattoo.
