Melody comes for Marsau and Marsau claps back.

The episode begins with Melody paying Marsau a visit at Blaque Cigar lounge. Jaylin’s there with Marsau and after throwing shade about construction allegedly going slowly, she greets Jaylin.

When Jaylin excuses himself, Melody goes in on Marsau. She lays into Marsau about bringing up having a s*x tape of her mom Vanessa. Marsau brings up the police report he filed against Martell. He says he did it because he was tired of Martell constantly laying out threats without any consequences. Melody claps back, bringing up Marsau allegedly leaking her and Martell’s tax liens to the blogs. Marsau denies this and tells Melody to prove that he did leak the tax records.

Melody says Marsau is lying and did nothing but come for the Holt brand. She also says her mom Vanessa built up Marsau’s company Scholt.

This leads to both of them going back and forth and nothing was resolved.

Later that night, Marsau’s at home with LaTisha who wants to celebrate Kimmi’s birthday. Marsau brings up his recent conversation with Melody. This angers LaTisha as Marsau brings up how Melody criticized how their cigar lounge isn’t done. Marsau discusses how it’s hypocritical for the Holts to come for Wanda but no one can say anything about Vanessa.

Kimmi wants to help influence others to vote.

At Kimmi and Maurice’s, Milli, Maurice’s sister, stops by. Milli and Kimmi have a serious conversation about voting. Kimmi wants to help influence others to vote in the 2020 election and Milli’s with it. Both of them are serious and come up with a name for Kimmi’s initiative. Milli brings up possibly having the “Comeback Group” get involved and Kimmi strongly says no.

The next day, the Holts are with their children and their oldest daughter’s having a birthday coming up. Melody wants to throw a birthday for her and it gets interesting when the birthday girl wants to invite her friends; LaTisha and Marsau’s kids.

Martell’s mom Marlene stops by and Melody asks if she wants to be the kid’s nanny. Marlene says no as she has a job and has other things she wants to do. Next, Marlene and Martell are talking and Martell’s dad comes up. Martell asks Marlene to talk to his dad to get him to come around. Marlene isn’t going to do that. She’s not involved with him and isn’t going to get involved with that. Marlene tells Martell it would be different if she was with his dad. However, she says she isn’t and can’t make a grown man do what he doesn’t want to do. She also commends Martell for being a better father than what he had.

Kimmi doesn’t want to be in the middle.

Later on, Melody and Kimmi have a sit-down. It’s their first time seeing each other since Melody’s MBrace Beauty event. Melody wants to make it clear that she’s not here for LaTisha and doesn’t want anyone, including Kimmi, to try and bring them together. Kimmi tells Melody that having the security guard escort LaTisha out of the event was too much.

Melody wants to know if Kimmi can really stay out of it. Kimmi says it’s going to be tough as LaTisha’s her friend and family. Melody also invites Kimmi to Mariah’s birthday party. Kimmi asks if Maci, LaTisha’s daughter, can come. As long as Kimmi doesn’t try to bring her and LaTisha together, it’s fine. Kimmi then tells Melody she’s done trying to bring her and LaTisha together.

Meanwhile, Martell finally meets with his dad. Martell’s dad tells him that he couldn’t make the baby shower because of work. Martell brings up what he’s learning during his talk with the therapist. Martell’s dad promises that his relationship with the grandkids will be better.

Melody extends an olive branch.

The next day, Martell and Melody are in the kitchen. Melody’s planning their daughter’s birthday party and Martell’s shocked by the prices for the event. He then asks Melody asks about the guest list. Maci’s name comes up and Martell’s curious if this means the Scotts are going to show up. Martell’s against LaTisha and Marsau being there but Melody’s okay if the Scotts attend. But they agree that they don’t want to see Wanda.

Martell then gets frustrated when Melody decides to call LaTisha. LaTisha picks up and listens to Melody as she invites the kids along with LaTisha and Marsau to the birthday party. Melody says she doesn’t want to let their beef interfere with their kids’ friendship. Although she tells Melody she’s considering taking them, in her interview, LaTisha still feels some type of way about Melody and doesn’t want to bring her kids around the Holts.

Wanda calls out Kimmi and Marsau.

At LaTisha and Marsau’s, Kimmi and Maurice are coming over for Kimmi’s birthday. Kimmi and Maurice show up with Jaylin and Monster making this a positive celebration. Not too long afterward, Wanda shows up, irritating Marsau. When she arrives, Wanda immediately brings the shade. She first calls Kimmi a motor mouth and Kimmi says it’s the pot calling the kettle black. Next, Wanda brings up Melody and comments made during last season’s reunion. Wanda feels Kimmi threw LaTisha under the bus. Kimmi’s frustrated with Wanda and says this is the second time Wanda came at her “with bulls***.”

Wanda also brings up how she doesn’t like how Melody invites Kimmi to events but not LaTisha. Things get loud between Kimmi and Wanda and the guys hear the commotion from another room.

Things calm down somewhat when the ladies join everyone else in the living room. Kimmi then brings up her event idea for her voting initiative. She discusses how she’s going to invite the Holts and Marsau talks about how Melody came up to the cigar lounge.

Wanda then speaks up and tells Marsau he should’ve kicked Melody out just like she kicked LaTisha out of her event. The birthday party comes up and how Kimmi and Maurice are considering showing up along with LaTisha and Marsau. This makes Wanda go off on everyone. She first calls Kimmi fake but Kimmi isn’t having it, telling Wanda to zip it. Wanda then goes off on Marsau, telling Marsau it doesn’t matter if the kids are friends. In her opinion, they shouldn’t be friends if the parents aren’t getting along.

LaTisha does her best to dead the back and forth by bringing out Kimmi’s birthday cake, surprising Kimmi.
