The LHHMIA reunion was full of drama.
Shay Johnson and Amara La Negra clashed a lot on the latest season of “Love And Hip Hop Miami.” Amara moved on from Emjay prior to the season. However, Shay felt like Amara crossed her brother. And she did so by hooking up with a family friend Emjay introduced her to. Allan Mueses is someone Emjay felt could help Amara fix her real estate hiccups in Miami. However, Allan and Amara ended up getting together romantically. Both are now parents to twin girls.
Since Shay and Amara both became mothers around the same time, fans were disappointed they weren’t able to support each other during their pregnancies. And to no surprise, it got a little tense at the reunion when they discussed their friendship falling apart.
Shay Johnson called out Amara La Negra at the reunion.
Tamar Braxton hosted the reunion. Some fans believe Shay caught an attitude with Tamar at times while answering questions.
During one scene, Tamar asked Emjay to tell her why he’s so upset about Amara moving on to Allan. She asked, “Emjay, what’s your take on this? Why are you so in your feelings? Do you feel like Amara is the one that got away?”
Emjay answered, “I feel like she’s not taking accountability for what she did. I don’t think that she should have slept with Allan.”
Tamar then asks both, “But were you guys together?”
Amara answered no and Shay interjected with, “Does that matter?” After Tamar said it “sort of” matters, Shay wasn’t having it.
“Nah, we don’t do that. Girl code. Don’t act like you don’t know it. Nah…”
Tamar kept her cool, “Hold on, baby. I’ma respect you. But I really wanna hear from Emjay. And how he’s feeling and why this is affecting him.”
Emjay answered honestly, “Because I loved her. And even still to this day, I can’t act like I don’t love her.”
Some LHHMIA fans accused Shay of being rude to Tamar. And they called her out on social media.
One Instagram user wrote, “Tamar was so professional because lord knows Shay should’ve got SLIDDDD.”

This is such a stupid storyline to me. Emjay is not this great/nice guy they keep portraying him to be. He cheated on Amara while they were together. And he sat up in her house everyday paying not one bill and living off her dime. Amara owes him absolutely nothing. She doesn’t have to follow a code considering how he used and mistreated her. What happened to him following the man code and getting job so he can be a provider for once? Stop coddling black men! People are more outraged by a single woman dating who she wants than a grown man with a track record of expecting his girlfriends to take care of him. Shay and Emjay need to focus on their own lives. Their obsession with Amara is annoying.
Somebody needs to sit Shay-Shsy down and give her a reality check. She is so whiny to me! She needs to thank God for being on the show period. Her storyline is B-O-R-I-N-G! Flav, come get your girl Bro!
