Season four of “Love and Hip Hop New York” is definitely bringing in the ratings for VH1, and that’s a huge contrast from season three. One of the reasons the show is doing so well this season is easily because of the love triangle between Amina Buddafly, Peter Gunz, and Tara Wallace. Erica Mena still gets plenty of camera time thanks to her explosive beef with Peter Gunz, as well as her on and off romance with Rich Dollaz. But she’s also getting even more attention this season because of her new romance with Cyn Santana.
Erica’s always said she’s attracted to women, but the latest gossip suggests Erica may be allegedly faking the lesbian romance in order to secure her spot on the show. Illseed of All Hip Hop writes:
Word on the street is Erica Mena had to make some major shake ups in her personal story line in order to stay on the current season of Love & Hip-Hop New York so she went the lesbian route. In previous seasons she mentioned that she “smashes” women but these days she’s allegedly in a relationship with the previously straight Cyn Santana.
Illseed also goes on to say that some folks are even claiming Erica’s romance with Cyn was also manufactured to create tension with Rich and keep her relevant on the show.
It didn’t take long for the reality star to respond to the reports. Erica clapped back at the gossip and took some shots at bloggers:
Didn’t she fake being pregnant last season too? Umm yeah, I don’t put it past her to fake a relationship too.
Thank you. I guess she thinks everyone forgot about that.
LOL of course she’s faking it. She’ll do anything to keep her spot on that show.
I never believed this “relationship” anyway because Erica has lied about so many other things. She faked being pregnant last season, I don’t think she really dated Rich Dollaz either. I think most of these people are just faking for the cameras. Reality people are bad actors these networks can get for cheap. LOL.
Aren’t most of them faking their drama on this show? Reality TV hasn’t been real in a long time.
Erica just isn’t interesting to me. She tries too hard and I’m bored with her. I think Mona needs to get rid of her and Rich next season. They are lame. Even Joe Budden and Tahiry need to go. Amina/Tara and Peter Gunz and them are carrying the whole show.
Why is she still on the show though? She’s WACK. To tell you the truth, LHHNY hasn’t been good since Chrissy left. Season two was the last good season.
Is she that desperate for a check from VH1? Sad.
Oh Erica please. You would lose your mind if bloggers didn’t write about you. Have several seats.
The ratings are only good this season because they copied off the Atlanta cast. Amina and Peter Gunz and Tara are the bootleg versions of Joseline, Stevie J and Mimi. lol
I noticed that their chemistry seems forced on the show. Sorry Erica, you need more people.
So sad what women will do to make money and stay in the spotlight now. Everyone thinks they can play the slut card and it will work because of celebrities like Kim K, Rihanna, and Miley Cyrus. What’s sad is that these women stay successful, further perpetuating the delusion.

Erica is messy! rich dollaz is corny. Sin is too hot to play the sluts gf. LHH makes for a great show. Bring on the drama hoes. Mona Scott thank you for exposing all the dumb a$$3$ in the world. A$$3$ is what its all about….lol
