It looks like “Black Ink Crew Chicago” isn’t the only show experiencing a drop in ratings.

Season 8 of “Basketball Wives” is starting with record lows.

Last week, the season premiere brought in 968,000 viewers.

Season 7 premiered with 1.866 million viewers. That’s a pretty massive drop.

In fact, it’s the lowest ratings ever for a season premiere in the show’s history.

The interesting thing is this season is going to be full of drama.

Evelyn not only nearly comes to blows with Jennifer, but CeCe as well.

Malaysia and Jackie will also have an explosive falling out. It’s been rumored one of Malaysia’s relatives assaulted Jackie.

OG is also in the beginning stages of beef with Evelyn.

And of course, CeCe and Kristen are still having major family problems.

So the drop is a surprising one.

Maybe the ratings will pick up in the coming weeks as the drama intensifies.

In related news, Tami’s special “Tami After Ever” brought in 632,000 viewers.
