Monique Samuels thought she was treated unfairly during her final season on RHOP.
Monique Samuels‘ departure from “Real Housewives of Potomac” was very controversial. Her last season on the show was very polarizing. She got into an altercation with Candiace Dillard. And since she got physical with Candiace first, a good bit of the cast put their support behind Candiace. In fact, they didn’t even want to film scenes with Monique anymore. However, Karen Huger and Ashley Darby continued to film with Monique.
Interestingly enough, Monique said the last straw for her was what went down at the reunion. She feels as if she and Chris Samuels were treated unfairly. And other cast members like Gizelle Bryant were protected by edits.
Monique also took issue with the rumors about her marriage being discussed by the cast. It was rumored that Monique had an affair with her trainer. And the rumor that upset her the most involved people saying her youngest son isn’t Chris’ child.
Although Monique vehemently denied the rumors, she still felt like the damage had already been done. And her marriage was under attack. So she and Chris decided it was time to walk away from the show.
Andy Cohen has expressed he’d like for Monique to return to RHOP, however, she’s made the move to OWN. Monique and Chris are main cast members on “Love & Marriage: DC.” It’s the first spinoff of “Love & Marriage: Huntsville.”
OWN riled people up on Twitter.
According to Monique, she decided it would be a good move because she and Chris could show more sides to themselves on this show. They didn’t feel like they could on RHOP.
Well, it appears as if OWN is happy to have the couple join their network. In fact, Monique was labeled as the queen of reality television on OWN’s Twitter account.

The tweet was a controversial one. Some people slammed the network for giving Monique the title. Others questioned why OWN would want Monique on LAMDC after her altercation on RHOP. However, there are many who are just happy to see Monique and Chris back on television.
