Candiace Dillard Bassett Slams Robyn Dixon & Gizelle Bryant’s Hypocrisy Regarding Altercation

The trip to Miami was a doozy for the RHOP cast.

Robyn Dixon and Candiace Dillard Bassett‘s friendship is being tested on the current season of “Real Housewives of Potomac.” After Wendy Osefo and Mia Thornton’s controversial altercation, the other women are taking sides with the exception of Karen Huger. Karen thinks Mia and Wendy were both wrong that day. However, Candiace and Ashley Darby think that Mia was the one wrong. They feel that part of being on RHOP is understanding how to fight with their words. So they take issue with the fact that Mia not only threw a drink at Wendy, but assaulted her with her purse as well. And that’s unacceptable.

Interestingly enough, Gizelle and Robyn think Wendy was the one who crossed the line. And they accused her of antagonizing Mia.

Either way, Ashley and Candiace have accused the green-eyed bandits of being huge hypocrites since they preached about being against violence on the show when Monique Samuels assaulted Candiace. And Robyn got payback by sharing a video of Candiace calling the other women fake on Instagram Live. She also said they can’t be trusted.

Candiace Dillard Bassett’s Instagram Live video resulted in her being called out.

Robyn was offended because she thought that she and Candiace had a genuine friendship. They ended up getting into a major argument because Candiace thought Robyn deliberately “ambushed” her in front of the group.

Candiace was asked about this on “Watch What Happens Live.” After Andy Cohen asked why Robyn’s reveal upset her, Candiace explained.

“I said it on the episode. It felt like an ambush, it felt like my friend was trying to shame me in front of the group. And if she really had a problem with it, she could have just asked me about it. But she wanted it to be a moment. And I didn’t appreciate my friend trying to have a moment.”

The evening probably would have been messier if Candiace Dillard Bassett was there to have Wendy Osefo’s back.

Candiace is thankful she wasn’t there to witness the altercation in person.

“I’ve said many times that I’m so happy that I was not there because I don’t know what I would have done. I might have thrown something on Mia just out of anger. I did not see the whole episode until over the weekend cause I was working so much. I’m appalled, I’m disgusted. It makes me really, really angry at Gizelle and my friend Robyn because I feel like they…”

Andy interjected, “Cause you feel like they were being hypocritical?” And Candiace answered, “Very much so, very much so. You can’t go from, ‘We reject violence,’ to then, ‘Well she deserved it.’ You can’t do that, you either stand by it or you don’t.”

Candiace continued, “You can’t change it because you don’t like somebody. Your morals are in the wind. That’s bull…that’s BS.”

They also discussed Ashley telling Karen and the others that Candiace alleged she went out on a date with a man who was not Ray Huger. On the episode, Candiace denied saying this. And producers flashbacked to the scene of Candiace telling Ashley that

  1. I agree with everything she said about Robyn and Gizelle. I can’t stand how fake people can be just because they don’t like someone. I wasn’t raised that way. Right is right. And wrong is wrong. I don’t care who it is. Mia was dead wrong period. So was Monique. Black women have no business fighting on television. We are all capable of using our words to show our power and fight back. The way Mia is carrying on this season has been disgusting.

    1. No one is more hypocritical than Candice. If she made the statement on instagram it was public. So how can she say she was ambushed. She made the statements, so stand by it. She also told Ashby that Karen was running around with some man.

  2. I think Robyn and Gizelle just confirmed what we all knew back then which is it was never that they cared about Candiace. Nor was it that they really felt like Monique was wrong to attack her. They just wanted Monique off the show. And they got their wish in the end. So no, they weren’t really anti violence. Just anti Monique.

  3. Lol! How does everything magically become Gizelle’s and Robyn’s fault??? Wendy was antagonizing Mia. It didn’t call for Mia’s actions.
And someone needs to tell Wendy to stop with the 50 degrees and 18 bestseller books. She uses that for every single argument. We know Wendy………
And Ashley please, please stop with the Monique and Candiance thing. You were in the bathroom. You saw nothing.

  4. Candice still doesn’t get it, they were supportive of her because the Green-eyed Bandits don’t like Monique. The Bandits are now supportive of Mia because they don’t like Wendy. It has nothing to with being against violence, it was not about being afraid of Monique, it was about getting rid of Monique. You played your role, now everyone is tired of you.
